Convenient location in El Chalten and is situated right above an outdoor gear shop - staff were very helpful and accommodating to leave a gas canister in our room for us as we were going to arrive late (past their shop hours) and had planned to leave early the next day for our trek. Very cute apart-hotel.

We loved our stay in El Calafatte. The house was constructed badly. It felt like the roof will fly with the winds. It is pretty decent for the price. We had the side mountain view which was pretty nice.

Perfect basecamp for Chalten area hikes

Great location in the center of El Chaltén with views of Fitz Roy's tip right from our window. We used the full kitchen to prepare coffee/breakfast before heading out each morning, and the spacious front room to spread and organize all our gear. Comfortable bed and good shower. We had a rental car, but with most trailheads and restaurants walkable from right from the apartment, it wasn't even necessary.

The apartment is in the same building with a hiking outfitters store. Which is very convenient if you want to buy supplies or book a hike. Since they close in the afternoon, there were no issues with loud people or traffic. Everything is within walking distance, you really don't need a car. The apartment is very new and modern, supplied with all amenities.

Very simple, but cute and comfortable

We had a nice stay at Patagonia Hikes Aparts. The building has multiple units and thin walls, so there’s not too much privacy, but it’s cute. Simply furnished with IKEA-like furniture and built with slightly shoddy construction, but everything we needed was there and the host could not have been nicer. Not many finished details, but it fits in with the casual El Chaltén vibe.

Run down in terrible overall condition. Radiators leaking water. Kitchen lacking basic things, knives could not cut anything etc. No communication with host - pre check in inquiry via Expedia ignored (staff from the shop below were helpful). Only bed was comfortable and quiet due to location. There are many other options in El Chalten - avoid this one.

Won’t be back

This was not a hotel. You check yourself in, there are no amenities (one small bar of soap per person), and no cleaning service unless you ask (via WhatsApp). This had all the feels of an AirBnB, and not a great one. Furniture was cheap (dresser drawers wouldn’t open without a fight, sink in bathroom was rickety) and the drain in kitchen had a bad smell coming out of it. We stayed 5 nights. Overall it’s cute and bright with high ceilings, but the walls are so thin you can hear your neighbours talking at a normal volume. Had to bring out our own garbage as we only had cleaning twice. Wasn’t expecting anything amazing knowing where we are in the world, but there are definitely better places to stay in El Chalten.

El Chantel è una località piccola per amanti del trekking, difficile non sentirsi al sicuro. L'appartamento esteticamente è carino, il bagno però è davvero piccolo, con la doccia chiusa da un mezzo pannello di plexiglass scomodo e poco funzionale e lo scarico del bidet che allaga il pavimento. Cucina piccola ma fa il suo dovere -visti i tanti ristorantini l'abbiamo usata solo per la colazione-, però elettrodomestici tenuti non benissimo e un po' arrugginiti. In 4 noi siamo stati un po' stretti perché non c'è spazio per appoggiare i bagagli a terra e non ci sono armadi, solo una piccola cassettiera; servirebbero almeno degli attaccapanni, noi per appendere dei vestiti abbiamo dovuto tendere una corda da alpinismo tra una finestra e una porta
