The staff was very friendly. The hotel and room were very clean. Lots of free parking and places to explore near the hotel. The pool and whirlpool were very nice. Whoever is maintaining the pool is doing it right....no strong chemical smell, weird foam, or scum. Loved that the history was something everyone seemed proud of.

Very nice bones to this old hotel but it is very drably decorated throughout - mostly brown and old-looking. No one seemed to be there, which is part of the problem. We wanted to get a late dinner and night cap but the restaurant, bar, and room service shut down at 9. Our view was of the side street - since no one was in the hotel it might have been nice to be put in one of the rooms with a view of the harbor. Good beds and towels, nice hair products, very clean.

We originally booked the water park but pivoted last minute when it was closed. Thank goodness we did! We loved this hotel! The staff was lovely and helpful, the pool was the perfect size to burn off energy, the rooms were spacious and clean, Caroline’s was delicious for breakfast, and the location couldn’t be beat. We were meeting grandparents and other family who also loved the hotel. Great charm and history. The bar and ambiance was an added bonus.
