I was traveling with my parents. I can’t imagine I booked a room that had just one king bed. Although it showed, that’s what I did book I had to pay $30 more to get two double beds.

Smelled musky and moldy. Floor felt wet. Humid found several dead spiders and one alive. No water pressure. Could t get my hair cleaned. Hair in bathtub. Looked deserted when I arrived. Weeds growing up high around the building and no cars parked anywhere. I had to drive away the first time and check at the gas station next door if it was even open or if I got ripped off. Couldn’t get a refund so stayed. Wouldn’t let me do tax exempt form because the transaction was already complete but online said I wouldn’t be charged until after the stay. Other hotels are able to take the form when I arrive.

The hotel has made some fairly significant improvements as of recent. New beds, furniture, T.V.'s, carpet, etc.

There are not many options in Fredonia, Ks. My parents owned a home there, died and my sister and I still have a brother there and relatives that we go to visit once a year. The hotel is older but the Patels do there best to take care of you while staying. We are glad to have the option.

Was on 2nd floor hotel is unkept and has no elevator even installed on property. AC didn't work, no coffee at all served. I would've been better in a tent.

To start, there is no lock on the outside rear door. The room I stayed in, the security door latch was broken, there was a spot on the ceiling that was peeling off and the toilet was not completely secured to the ground. I was very disappointed for the money I paid. There was no exterior lighting behind the hotel and I saw no cameras on the sides or rear of the building. Will not stay there again.

We reserve a room here every year We typically check in late evening and check out early morning. Never have we had issues. My only complaint is that when you book online it says pets welcome. Nothing about mentioning that you will have one with you but when you arrive, there's a sign stating that you have to let them know if you have a pet with you and failure to do so will result in a $70 fee. I truly believe that this is a way to suck more money out of people last minute. Also, there is absolutely no place in town to eat breakfast on a Sunday morning so we usually drive to Chanute or Independence to eat so if you want to continue to get my business, don't try to scam us over our 9 pound dog that is in a kennel and makes no noise or messes! We can easily take our business to one of the two above mentioned towns!

When we checked in the clerk (whom I couldn't understand said something about the carpet shampoo) I assumed he was telling me our room had been shampooed. When we went to our room.we noticed hose to shampoo all down the hall. Once in our room, we wanted to relax after driving all day. Turned on the TV snd couldn't get network channels! It was about 8 o'clock, I put my pajamas on and crawled into bed. We watched whatever we could get on tv. Then a knock on the door. My husband answered and the desk clerk & 2 other men came in to shampoos the carpet. I sat there with my mouth open like what is going on! We paid for a night and should not have had to deal with these issues. Definitely will not stay again and feel our money should be refunded.

Staff was dificult to understand, the bed sheets were dirty and had not been changed since the previous guest. The lamp didnt work, and the door was very dificult to open. Overall not a great place to stay for what we paid. We wont be comming back in the future.
