Was a very good overall experience. The hotel had friendly staff.. was clean.. breakfast had good options. The area was quiet and safe and had various restaurant choices. Also there was good transport nearby and shopping. Recommend.

Very nice hotel in great location. Just 1 building over from the „Binnen Alster“ and a quick walk to the shopping area, boats, etc. nice hotel room, good breakfast and it has parking.

I stayed here to participate in IRONMAN. It was convenient because it was close to the IRONMAN venue and Hamburg Central Station. Even if I put my bicycle in the room, it was spacious enough, and it was a quiet and comfortable environment.

Very nice hotel, perfectly situated. Extra credits to the cleaning team. I was there for the triathlon, so wetsuit/bike .... made it not easy for them to clean up each time the room.

I loved the location of this hotel, and the breakfast was great. We booked last minute with no issues. Despite being so close to downtown it was not very noisy at night. The only thing that was alittle strange, and this may just be because I am an American, but there is no actual room for the shower. The toilet has a little room on its own, but the shower is out in the open in the room. The shower does have privacy tinting which is nice, I have just never been to a hotel with this. Overall, I would recommend this hotel!

Amazing Hotel with an outstanding staff

Was amazing, could sleep until 13:00 although checkout at 12 at no extra cost. Very nice staff, helpful and gave us a free welcome drink and even with a shot although only nonalc drinks should be served. Amazing

To be honest, we thought that we would have a hotel room in spite of the “hostel-hotel” listing since this was the most expensive of our hotels on our seven country trip. =great breakfast and very clean and conveniently located-shared bathroom and hard to get a shower, no ac and very loud all night from the street outside, so hard to sleep-front desk person not hospitable.

It disheartens me to write this because the other Barcelo hotels in Valencia and Lanzarote have been much much better and have always gone above and beyond with their service, whenever we have stayed with them. Unfortunately, our stay in the Hamburg hotel was very different, to say the least. Positives : Room with modern fittings. Clean. Free room safe. Friendly staff. Great location. Negatives : Room phone not working and not repaired, so no use at all when needing to ask for help, using the phone. Key card (used for the power) taken by the cleaner(s) and not replaced until the second evening. The consequence of this was the room was overwhelmingly warm upon returning to the room. A 24 hour room service finishing at 10pm. The biggest disappointment was the hotel not replying to a direct message/request 48 hours before arrival. It has to be added that the Barcelo group are usually very prompt at responding. Overall, our stay was underwhelming. We booked the hotel on the quality of service we have had at the other Barcelo hotels.

Wir haben hier mit Baby 1 Woche im Oktober verbracht. Sehr freundliches Personal und sehr schönes Zimmer. Leckeres und abwechslungsreiches Frühstück. Einziges Manko sehr trockene Luft im Zimmer. Selbst wenn man die Temperatur nach unten regulierte blieb es warm und sehr trocken. Einzige Lösung war ein offenes Fenster. Sollten wir Hamburg nochmal besuchen, buchen wir hier gerne wieder unsere Übernachtung.
