I enjoyed staying at the best Western in Goodyear Phoenix. Good breakfast nice place good price not a five star luxury hotel but it’s a good hotel for the price clean centrally located heated pool, pet friendly nice staff not one complaint.

Floors in room not cleaned, shower/tub knob missing, AC worked poorly, sliding door in room needed a lot of work to open, check in staff rolled their eyes when stating we had two dogs with us. Beds were comfortable, great blackout blinds, and coffee was good. Decent breakfast selection. Definitely the worst Best Western we’ve stayed at, and the highest priced.

The staff was really nice and efficient. The room was clean although not well maintained. There were little gnats around the bathroom sink and a crack that was poorly repaired in the shower/tub. The property is quite rundown in an older part of town. That being said, we did feel safe. The location was convenient for spring training games.

The drapes covered the ac so the room had no air movement about 82 degrees. Called for a fan she called maintenance. So I took 2 hangers with clips and raised the drapes above the ac vent. Very good ac then. Worked great.

The room is very clean but the hallway looks dirty maybe the carpet is too old. And maybe they use a strong cleaning agent or air freshener in the room , too strong that I can’t sleep, it’s good I don’t have asthma .

We did not realize that the door access to the rooms were from the outside, more like a motel than a hotel. Did not see this on the website. Upsides - The staff was friendly and courteous. The pool was clean and had comfortable lawn chairs. Loved the comfortable beds. Breakfast pretty average, but appreciated the bottled water. Downsides - plumbing seemed pretty dated. The sink in our room was clogged and drained very slowly. Screen door leading outside wouldn't close all the way to lock, so it was slightly open during our 4-night stay. Towels had some stains, as did one of our bedspreads. The flooring seemed like it needed to be mopped.
