Wonderful spacious cabanas, so cool inside with large beds and a roomy shower. The on-site restaurant was also fabulous. The staff were incredibly helpful. This north side of the Split on Caye Caulker is pristine and quiet. Town is a short hop on a golf cart and 2 min ferry ride.

Greeting when we arrived was fantastic. Room was clean, and food was good. When we booked this place it was because of the pool bar, however, what isn’t said is that the bar is only open Friday-Sunday. This should clearly be stated as we were there Sunday- Wednesday so only got it for one day.

The place is clean and the staff are very helpful. You are on the quieter side of the island which we loved but they will take you back and forth by boat which is free of charge. The pool is nice and the place was clean and well maintained. Would recommend!

El Ben is a beautiful, well run property. Everything about our stay was fantastic from the staff to the food to the cabanas. All the food is made from scratch - from the bread for morning toast to the fresh squeezed juice. I only gave it a 3 for amenities because that’s somewhat intentional as it’s on the north quiet side of caye caulker. If you want to relax, unplug & lay low it’s perfect. If you want to sign up for outings & adventures off site, you can do that too.

The staff was wonderful. The restaurant was reasonably good but a little pricey. The advertisement was a bit deceptive, and that you cannot just walk out to the reef and go snorkeling. You need to rent a boat.

What stood out the most is that the staffs are really friendly and very helpful and accommodating. The hotel or resort is great, I love the quietness, secluded from the noises. I highly enjoyed my room with its high ceilings and comfortable bed. Very quiet and peaceful, waking up to the sounds of morning doves. The restaurant was exceptional - friendly staff and delicious food. Only complaint was the lack of communication between office staff and access to needed services - not having a reservation on Tropic Air on upon my arrival in Belize City, confusion about what could be ordered with the breakfast certificate, not giving me correct information about the pickup time for a snorkeling trip and then not being on the list for the trip, not being on the list for the water taxi to the airport. not arranging for my driver to be paid for my ride from the water taxi to the airport. Chronic lack of follow through.
