What not too like, a fantastic guest house, with excellent rooms, a superb freshly cooked breakfast, and a location which is 15 minutes from all the main attractions. Cannot recommend enough

The property is beautiful, clean and the staff is lovely. It's 5-10 mins walking to the city centre and to most of the attractions. Highly recommended and definitely will come back Also the breakfast is very good.

Highly recommend!!

Wow! We wanted to stay somewhere walkable to York city centre that also had parking for our hire car and Monkbridge exceeded all our expectations. The warm and informative welcome, the comfortable and beautifully renovated rooms, the cooked to order breakfast, the overall service and all the little extras and touches made our 2 night stay amazing. Thanks so much to our hard working hosts who have also painstakingly restored the building into an amazing B&B!

Great place to stay while visiting York

I can’t recommend Monkbridge enough! The hosts were amazing, the decor was beautiful, breakfast was plentiful and delicious and the hosts Fiona and Paul were lovely.

Lovely hotel ideally situated for a visit to York

Clean and comfortable hotel supplying everything you could possibly need and more. Mini bar and snacks available in rooms, beautiful lounge area and dining room with good choice of breakfast. There’s also a lovely garden and outdoor seating area to enjoy on warmer days.

Exceptional stay at MonkBridge House Hotel

Stayed for one night and couldn’t have been more pleased. The room was spotless and well-appointed, with an ensuite bathroom, a minibar, and thoughtful touches like complimentary drinks. The entire property was immaculately clean and clearly well cared for. Service was excellent—staff were welcoming, helpful, and made the stay feel effortless. Breakfast was another highlight, featuring homemade and locally sourced condiments like jams, butter, and sausages, which added a lovely personal touch. The hotel also offers accessible parking and is located less than a 10-minute stroll from the heart of York, making it both convenient and relaxing. A peaceful, well-run hotel in a great location. Great weekend stay in York

From booking to arriving and leaving this was one of our best stays at a guest house. Friendly and informitive hosts in a quiet and loverly place to stay. We usually like self catering but the breakfast here was a treat. Plenty of choice and nicely cooked. We will stay here again and would definitely reccomend.
