Great stay

It was at a great location, I loved being close to the Royal Palace and park. The heated floor in the bathroom was a game changer. The kitchenette was perfect, and its awesome that cutlery/plates/cooking dishes are provided.

Perfect place to stay for a budget weekend trip. Clean safe has everything you need. Walking distance to everything that there is to see. Reception staff lovely and local bakeries are great too!

Lovely old place where a number of writers have stayed. Run by a family. Across from the Norwegian Literary House where there is a great bookstore and one can get a good meal or simply sit and read a book. Just feet from the Palace.

Great place for an overnight. Friendly staff. Excellent location for where I needed to be. Didn’t expect to share a bathroom/toilet but since it was one night it went OK.

We got a room with separate beds which we did not prefer, but it was ok for one night. Building is old. The hotel would be good for a low budget trip. The location is great. Staff is nice.

My room was pretty nice and exactly like the description and pictures, and the hotel was in a nice area near a park. I also got lucky and happened to get a room with a balcony, which was an unexpected bonus! Overall I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again

A fine old building with character not far from the Royal Palace. From the central train station find Kong Harald street with the main shops and in the distant you will see the Royal Palace, once there take the right side diagonal and you reach the hotel, ten minutes walk.

Good 3-night stay.

The hotel is within walking distance to the train station, subway and bus terminals. The room and sheets were clean and orderly. There is free coffee anytime and a 20% discount for breakfast in the coffee shop below. The receptionists were very helpful. They helped me find the address of a place I needed to go to. They also gave me the name and time of the correct local train to take me to the airport.

Nice clean functional but small rooms (stayed in the budget room with share bath.) Was nice that there was a sink in the room. Quiet regarding hearing other guests (we didn’t). Confusing how to get into the hotel prior to checking in as the door remains locked. Entered as someone was leaving and they informed us the reception was on the 2nd floor

Clean, spacious room, reception staff very friendly and helpful. Nice to get a free coffee in the TV lounge. Room was very hot overnight (it was August) but asked at reception and got a couple of fans which helped cool it down a bit. Noisy trams going past all night and also noise from people in nearby bars/restaurants- if you're a light sleeper these will keep you awake.

This hotel is very clean and the bed/bathroom comfortable. The young man at the reception desk in the evening was very nice and helpful. The issue is that it's very noisy in the area with the street car and traffic at all hours, and the noise comes right through the windows even when they are closed. Maybe some good insulated drapes would help? Parking was convenient but expensive.
