The Utopian Suites were exactly as advertised and provided a very pleasant experience during my visit to Porto. I appreciated the ease of check in, and the well-appointed room which provided all of the comforts and conveniences of home. The inclusion of the mini bar was a nice perk and a thoughtful touch. The property manager was easily reachable to attend to any requests. I would not hesitate to stay at this property again when in Porto.

Very clean room, good coffee/tea maker, very nice shower, very, very comfortable bed! Convenient security system. Manager easily reached by phone. All staff responsive and pleasant. Good streaming choices on the TV. Our room (6) was 47 steps up from the street. Plenary of space in the room; an extra chair world have been handy.

Awesome stay in Porto

It was such a cute and clean hotel, great location. Awesome service from Grisha Davidoff. One of the rare places where they let you have everything from the minibar and don’t charge you 😊 They stored our luggage until our room was ready and actually got our room ready two hours early. Overall, it was wonderful. Would love to go back there! Very highly recommend!

The hotel is in a great location for sightseeing in Porto - out of the way enough to be fairly quiet but within a short walk of many of the key sights and the waterfront. It is also on the right side of town to take a trip to the beach. The room was large and exactly as per the photos, the bed was comfy and the furniture and fridge / included minibar items were nice touches. Communication from the owners/concierge via WhatsApp was excellent, including many recommendations for places to eat and asking our cleaning preferences each day. We stayed for 4 nights and would definitely stay again. One thing to be aware of is the stairs - we were in room 7 on the top (3rd) floor, which meant carrying luggage up several flights and some narrow stairs at the top. Bear in mind if you have lots of luggage with you. The only improvement I would suggest is that the room needed more space to unpack and store clothes. There is one very short hanging rail but no drawers, which is odd given the ample space in the room.

The property has an abundance of character and charm. It is the product of obvious passion and hard work as the old building has been uplifted to become a comfy, modern sanctuary. It’s homey, contemporary and functional. It’s only about a 15-20 minute downhill walk to the river and is close to many important sights to see as well as a hop on hop off bus stop. 10/10 would recommend this stay and cannot wait to be back. Also a great value.

Definitely a keeper

Clean. Luxury bed and bedding. Great shower with lots of hot water. Nice touch on free snacks. We’re on ground floor and it was pretty noisy with the front door automatically slamming shut and people coming and going but hotel provided ear plugs and we slept really well.

We were very happy to stay here. Very hip accomodation. Good location! 25m from a busstop (601) to the airport. The ventilation unit should/could work A bit harder, as we experienced some 'mist' and semi-moist-clothing after A shower. Furthermore, 👍

Quaint little apartment building a little above the center of town. Very clean and spacious. Beds were five star and so was the shower. It is a hike up to the room in wooden stairs. And the room is a bit loud but you have to accept that for being in the city and great location. Snacks and water were waiting for us in the room. Lovely.

Surprisingly updated modern, spacious and well-appointed room in an old building. Only draw-back: lots of stairs to upper floor, but, thankfully, well air-conditioned room. Comfortable bed, very nice sitting area and bathroom. Really liked the policy of free mini-bar. Only suggestion: provide coffee machine/tea kettle in room, not on lower level. Host very solicitous and helpful at all times. Would definitely recommend for anyone who can handle stairs!

Host was amazing, they let us check in early as we landed early in the morning and weather was rainy that day. Thanks a lot for that. Room was very clean and bed comfortable, shower was huge and great warer pressure. The only downside on the room was that it was on the ground floor, window overlooking a road which is quite busy and loud. If you are a light sleeper ask for the room that doesnt overlook the road. There were earbuds for noise cancellation in the bathroom, which was very useful, withiut that I wouldnt be able to sleep. I think information about noise has to be communicated in advance as it will be impossible for some people to sleep in that room due to noise. The great thing about the room is free mini bar and tea/coffee. Coffee was tasty and having bottle of water on arrival waiting in the room was wonderful. Overall it is a great charming hotel. Thanks a lot for having us.

The room was spotless and was a very cool and different style room - we loved the amount of space and the swinging TV! The free 'minibar' was a great touch and much appreciated. My stay at Utopian was fabulous! I booked the top-level junior suite, and the photos truly don’t do it justice. It feels like a cozy, homey loft with the convenience of a virtual concierge service. Since my visit was short, I didn’t get to meet the staff in person to pay my city tax, but the manager, Nicolas, quickly helped me find a solution. The only downside was the street noise — the property sits on a busy road, so I could hear traffic and sometimes even feel light vibrations from passing vehicles late at night. Some soundproofing would make it perfect. Overall, I’d absolutely recommend this property for its comfort, design, and excellent service.

The hotel is a very modern and open but needs doing something more such as simple as a map of the city. Although nothing nearby such as restaurant, super market since we tried to buy some fruits but no way could find. otherwise, the service is good especially Nicolas helps a lot.

Très belles prestations

Chambre spacieuse et très confortable. Pas de contact en présentiel avec le personnel, mais communication par Whatsapp, personnel très attentionné. Accès aux chambres par un escalier en bois parfois étroit (3ème étage), un peu difficile avec une grosse valise bien lourde.
