Pros: It was mostly very quiet, which I really liked. The bed was firm, but not rock hard, I actually slept very well (just not very long due to an early flight). It was a good price, but not really as close to the Zocalo as you would think and prices have gotten crazy everywhere downtown. Easy to get a taxi at 3 am. Liked the high ceilings and large room. Lots of shopping stalls within a few blocks. Loved the feeling of getting to stay at what I perceive as a Mexican home. Shower water took a while to get hot. Cons: Although well-lighted outside, felt insecure about safety (although there were only 2 people out at 3am). No tv or internet USB sockets anywhere on property I could see so not having a phone plug meant my phone ran out of power. No elevator (but they brought my bag up for me).

The accomodations were very good and appropriate for the price. Doors open to an open air courtyard so in winter time it is cold in the lobby and breakfast area. Noise of other guests could be controlled better but that is not so much a hotel issue as it is a guest issue.

In the center of the city, small but comfortable rooms. No ac but fans available. Local food stands and convince store close by. Close to city historical center and other tourist spots. Loved it and would stay here again in the cooler months.

The staff were very approachable and friendly. They messaged me before my arrival to check in and address any questions I might have. They also helped me with securing a taxi to the airport. I booked an all inclusive hotel airfare package and received Hostel accommodations. The picture I saw definitely are deceiving. The room was tiny - NO AIR-CONDITIONING (temp in the room were never under 83 degrees - no amenities besides a small round bath sope & body wash & shampoo dispensers that were just about empty - No reception - Front Door is always locked - a key is given to each guest - We arrived at 4am and had to ring a doorbell a few times before a guy opened the door and told us we had to wait till 3pm for our room, so we tried to sleep in the living room area and make time. I will never stay there again and I am beyond disappointed by the “Hotel “ which Expedia depicted as a 4.8 stars and it was a HOSTEL !

NO TRIPLE OCCUPANCY

Pros - clean and adequate for short stay - decent value - good simple free breakfast - good location Cons - unprofessional staff; young couple with inappropriate behavior - FALSE advertising for sofa bed. States “ 1 large twin sofa bed” and it was anything but. A child couldn’t even sleep on it. I’m 5’ and my feet hung off the edge. Bedding was handed over in a heap and the so-called sofa bed has a wooden frame with a beam running down the middle that makes it impossible to sleep comfortably.

First of all, I’d like to mention that the staff were very kind. The location of the hotel was also perfect for us. So, we checked in on June 21st with a reservation until the 28th, but after the first night there we had to change our plans. We were fine without a tv in the room, with a leaky ceiling, no a/c, and even with the ants crawling around the bathroom. What we could not endure were the mattresses and pillows that were provided. That first night we didn’t sleep more 30 minutes at a time and the mattress was so hard and noisy that we considered sleeping on the floor. The pillows were of no use and had stains on them. Our sleep is important to us when we travel as we enjoy having jam-packed days, but after that first night we were more exhausted due to the lack of rest. First thing the next morning we made other plans with a hotel one block away, Hotel Catedral, which we highly recommend! Unfortunately we lost out on the money from our reservation at this hotel and although the staff were great, all they could do was offer an air mattress. We checked out Sunday, June 23rd around 2pm.

I had to leave this reservation on the first day of a 5 day plan, the location seemed good at first but it is actually in the middle of the street market in the morning when I woke up when I went out it was so crowded that I was very afraid to be mugged, this was not expected at all from an Expedia VIP property... Wow I couldn't stay for one night more - I have. I words to describe this
