We could not stay at this hotel as chained locked

As per email exchange with Hotels.com, we are trying to obtain a refund for this booking as, on arrival at the hotel, the gate was chained closed. We had kept trying to phone to confirm our ETA but the telephone number was unobtainable. The hotel did not attempt to contact us. We were very disappointed as the remote location really appealed to us.
