We arrived early & our room was not ready but the very helpful manager quickly allocated us an alternative room so we could unload our luggage before going to a funeral, which was much appreciated. Although designated as a studio room it was really spacious, very clean & comfortable.

I would give more than 5 stars if I could. The room and bathroom was really clean. Everything was working in the bathroom. Kitchenette was spotless. Bedsheets and blankets were fresh and bed was really comfortable. Overall it was a fantastic experience. I would be coming back to Deco city again on my next trip. Would be a 3.5 star if we could. Great friendly and helpful. Daughter loved the pool. Location was great with supermarket around the corner. 2 Bdroom Unit (No5) had everything we needed. Only downside was the fridge freezer was old and didnt really keep things cold. Needed repair. We advised them of this on checkout. Otherwise it was fine for a 2 day stay.

I have stayed at the Deco Motel several time of the years and have always been pleased with the service and facilities provided. However this time after long drive, on arrival at 5-30pm there was no one at reception. Instead a telephone number to ring. There was no complimentary milk left in unit. There was no compendium showing operating instructions or local amenities in the unit. The only person we met was when handing the key in at reception. The person asked when I had arrived!!!! Next time I am staying in Napier I will be looking for a different motel.

We enjoyed our stay. the room was spacious and the bed super comfortable. Needed a pair of scissors & voila, there was a pair in a drawer = excellent. we'd arrived an hour early as previously arranged, no staff onsite; phoned the manager & he returned, from the gym, in 5 minutes - we really appreciated that. always wanted to stay at this motel as it looks great from the road, glad we did!
