Gangneung Coffee Street

Daegwallyeong Sheep Ranch is located at the crest of Daegwallyeong pass, where pastoral grassland dotted with grazing sheep extends over beautiful hills. It’s also a great place to learn about nature while feeding hay directly to the sheep in the field.

Dojjaebigol Sky Valley

Dojjaebigol Sky Valley offers unparalleled view of the East Sea’s scenery and a host of experiences to try, including a skywalk, SkyCycle, a giant slide, and food and souvenirs at the topsy-turvy Dojjebi Art House. Head to Haerang Observatory to view the Mukho Lighthouse and the vast ocean—right under your feet.

Wondaeri Birch Forest

Wondaeri Birch Forest was created with over 690,000 birch trees planted across 138 hectares from 1974 to 1995. Follow the hour-long trail to see a dense forest of decades-old birch trees unfold before your eyes. In winter, the forest of white birch trees combines with the white snow, making it a popular place for photographers.

Museum SAN

Hidden in the mountains, Museum SAN (Space Art Nature) was designed by minimalist architect Tadao Ando. It opened in May 2013 with the work of James Turrell. Along with permanent and special exhibits, experiential and educational programs are offered. Visitors can enjoy peaceful seclusion while taking in a 360-degree view of the mountains.

Ganhyeon Tourist Area

Ganhyeon Tourist Area, a leading destination in Wonju, is a complex cultural spot where you can enjoy thrilling experiences and a superb view of Ganhyeon Mountain. In particular, the 100-meter-high and 200-meter-long Sogeumsan Suspension Bridge offers lots of thrills as the bridge over rugged rock formations swings with every step.

Samaksan Cable Car

Samaksan Mountain Lake Cable Car is the country’s longest cable car at 3.61 km and a new landmark of Chuncheon, where mountains, lakes, cities, and culture meet. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Uiam Lake and Samaksan from the 20 Crystal cabins, and at the top station, you can enjoy a beautiful panorama of the area thanks to the skywalk trail.

Nami Island

Hantangang Global Geopark

Located in the Hantangang UNESCO Global Geopark, the 3.6-kilometer-long Columnar Joint Path winds through the gorge of the Hantan River. Enjoy views of the beautiful river and Sundamgyegok Valley streams filled with colorful rocks by following the route along iconic columnar joint cliffs. It’s also highly valued as a geology learning center.
