"The staff were very good, very helpful. I had thought the low cost was due to being out of the season, but sadly, the price reflected quality of the hotel, which was was poor, in that the beds were bad, I can normally sleep anywhere; upright on a settee; on a floor; but I would wake after 4 hours ..."

"I love Malmaisons. The rooms are always different to the normal ones you get in other chains, but they're very well laid out. Even a standard double has a sofa at the end of the bed, so you don't have to be in bed to watch TV. The bars are always good too."

"Had a lovely stay at the Arden hotel. The pool was nice although the main big pool was a little cold. The jacuzzi was nice though as well as the sauna/steam room. All staff very friendly. Bar staff very kind and helpful, rooms clean and tidy and hotel was tidy, lovely breakfast. Yes it’s a bit dated ..."
