Taking Taxis in Asia: Uber, Grab or Taxi?

In the age of smartphone apps, travellers too have the convenience of booking taxis and ubers to get around, instead of relying solely on public transportation and haggle-until-sian taxi rides. In fact, booking an Uber can ease the headache of avoiding tourist prices designed to rip you off. These days I always get data when I travel, and find a transport booking app can be a lifesaver should I need help with my bags, need to rush to the airport, want to get around safely without a giant map.

But which app offers the best rates and reliability locally? iPrice did a study in November of the cheapest fares in Southeast Asia between traditional taxis, Uber and Grab. Here’s the infographic that shows the cheapest option in each of our favourite travel destinations.
