"Very nice and well managed hotel in a good location. We booked a double room and were surprised to have a room with a very narrow double bed: too small for 2 people. We had to pay GBP50 per night (a discounted rate we were told) to upgrade to a room with a queen size bed and were not offered a free upgrade."

"Cute little hotel with kind staff. It was being prepared for renovations while we were here which created some commotion with the lifts and traffic in the lobby. The room was comfortable and gym was good. We cut our stay short to stay closer to the sights and the staff was incredibly gracious about the change. Thank you for having us!"

"I was attending a 2 day conference at Excel and travelling alone, so felt safe if I had to return alone in the evening. Staff were super helpful. I had a "take away" my first evening and in the mornings they were happy to freshly poach eggs for me. On the second evening I went to a nearby Chinese restaurant with colleagues. Unfortunately the Excel building was locked and I had to walk around the outside to get to the hotel. I had walked almost the full length of the path when I came to a fence...

"Our family choose to stay at Novotel in recent 2 years because of the hotel is dog friendly. This time we were so disappointed because of the staff at the restaurant. Every time we went to hotel’s restaurant in past 2 years, we used to be seated indoor just opposite the buffet area. This time the staff said just allow guard dogs and not quite friendly to my pet. We were so disappointed this time."
