The staff was super friendly and the concierge even gave us advice where to go for sightseeing. The furniture in the room is a little dated but that wasn't a big deal for me. "Hotel was so convenient-across the street from Kyoto Station and walking distance from many shopping and dining options. Kyoto Aquarium was also a quick walk. The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds and pillows were top notch-everyone in my family thought so and we usually disagree on bedding and pillows. The buffet breakfast was amazing, including a full western and traditional Japanese offering. Well worth upgrading room package to enjoy the buffet every day. "
