The staff at the property are all so friendly and helpful, nothing is a problem for them to assist. English translation at front reception is excellent. They assisted us to confirm and book restaurants and grab vehicles. They have bicycles you can use for free. A free shuttle bus into old town for convenience. Breakfasts are well catered for. Property in good location. Have stayed there on two occasions, very good prices, highly recommend it.

All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast choices are excellent, Asian and continental. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Free shuttle bus into town, and bike hire. Easy walk to beach.

The property is well situated close to the beach and easy access to the old city. Bikes are available for free. We walked into town each day, 4 kms and about 75 minutes (we are 60). An ba beach is an easy ride too. The staff are really helpful, lovely people.

Loved the river view! Staff very pleasant and helpful. Location a bit isolated. Restaurant was very good. Didn't have time to use the shuttle service but great that it was available. All drivers were punctual and accommodating.

The bar was never staffed but could just have been because it was the of season. The staff were very helpful but the overall property needs some work, it's getting a little tired.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff. The room was huge, the bathroom was clean and the resort is so peaceful. There is a free shuttle bus that takes you into town about 4 times a day, the times aren't super convenient but taxis were easy to find and very cheap. The restaurant food wasn't great but go into to town and there are heaps of beautiful restaurants. We loved our stay here and highly recommend.

Give it a miss
The resort is in desperate need of some TLC but I think this is reflected in the price you pay. Breakfast is great as long as you arrive by 7, otherwise the food stays for 3 hours and taking a late breakfast is not an option as everything is covered in flies. I arrived 9:45 one day and they had already packed up for true day. Coffee was available though: I took an evening trip to the marble mountains and was very angry to spend the first hour of the tour at a shop where owners were aggressively trying to sell you wares. They tried to fob me off with it’s a charity weekend but that was not the case, the charity market came later. I subsequently cancelled the following trip, I love buying the nick jacks on offer but this was truly something ekse and made me feel vulnerable. I took some room service the evening before departure and had to send the vanilla ice cream back because it was green. Next thing I know the resauant manager has been called in from his fathers funeral!!!!! To deal with the drama. The poor man was heart broken and I was livid that for the sake of 80 pence the man had been distressed so much. Finally when I came to check out, there were extra charges on my bill for spa treatments that I had already paid in cash directly to the spa, but honestly couldn’t be arsed with the battle given the previous evenings debacle so I paid the extra £8. Just about to leave and the receptionist starts going mad about a cup, said i had stolen it but it had been On RS tray!

Resort is lacking in amenities. Areas of resort needed cleaning. Had to request numerous times for rubbish to be removed from pool area. Fitness centre consists of broken equipment. Rooms were ok. Reception staff were lovely and always had a smile.

Minutes from the beach away from all the hustle!
The River Beach is a few minutes walk from the beach but once inside the hotel it’s very peaceful. The hotel could do with some renovation to make it a bit more modern and the pool area needs a fix up. WiFi was really poor. Don’t expect to come here and stream anything (you can barely get emails)! Other than that you want to relax around the pool or go to the beach it’s ideal.

Booked in Dec 2017 for a river facing room, two days before we arrive, room location changed, but noticed a group of french tourists were given our room. Party in the next two rooms closest to ours for two nights with approx 12 young men. Complained second night nothing much changed. Booked out of hotel next morning and stayed the rest of our holiday in Hoi An in a beautiful hotel. When you go onto a hotel internet site, please be aware, it would appear that that some images are photo shopped. This hotel definitely in need of a make over.

Life is a Riverbeach
we were "downgraded" to a smaller room, but it had a river view balcony and we were given the difference in USD to spend at the hotel. unfortunately they didn't put this on our check-in paperwork so there were issues at check-out time. overall its a great hotel in a great position near the beach and you can use the free bicycles to ride to Hoi an town. the staff were very friendly but sometimes easily confused

Location better than facilities and service
The hotel has a superb location on the riverside with very nice garden area. It's looking a bit tired and we were initially allocated a room (junior suite) overlooking the road with a large terraced area containing 2 scruffy sun loungers (one broken). This balcony area had no shelter (a problem since it rained most days) No WiFi in the room (as advertised) so informed reception who said they'd fix it. After 3 days of chasing the WiFi resolution we asked for a room change, which we did - to a much better garden room. Breakfast quality and service was poor.

River Beach Hotel - Hoi An luxury.
Great hotel with great staff, beautiful grounds and amazing breakfasts. An upgrade was given without asking and staff could not have been more friendly and helpful with giving advice. The only downside was the availability of the free shuttle, limited trips to town. The upside was free bicycle use. This was just a little hot during this time of the year.

For the amount you pay for this hotel, it's excellent value for money. Don't expect chocolates on the pillow but you will find it tidy and the staff are really nice. There was a horrible rubbish smell wafting up through the hallways to the rooms when we first arrived, whether we just got used to it or it dissipated, I'm not sure (it wasn't inside the room). Overall we were pleased.

We booked here for 5 nights to telex after a big adventure trip around China and Hanoi! It was brilliant!! So relaxing and the area was lovely meaning that you could have food locally nearby or within the hotel. The breakfast was the best we have ever had!!

Olde worlde charm. Main building has French colonial influence, my room was in another building away from the main. Entry hall smelt dank and musty. First room faced the road, at a T junction. Sleep was impossible due to traffic's habit of beeping horn to warn other road users of their approach. Requested move to another room, facing river. Much quieter and bigger. Was a little alarmed to see vanity had huge crack in it, inexpertly repaired with silicone, and tile grout was mouldy. Could not connect to wifi despite sitting under wifi router. Had to call desk to get aircon fixed as I could not reach it to adjust it or turn it off and the hand set was not working. As the air con was fixed high up on the wall, the janitor had to use a long pole to turn it off. I had two choices: freeze with the air con on, swelter with it off. Final straw was when I ventured out through French doors to balcony and discovered half the hotel appeared not to have a roof. Hoarding had been put up on poolside of building so that this lack was not obvious to pool users or breakfast eaters. I stayed one night, then moved out. Can I please have my money back?

Interesting place
A good hotel with a nice location although you do have to make sure you're in the main block not the annex (no wi-fi and lower standard rooms). The grounds are lovely and the views along the river excellent. They offer a shuttle into Hoi An which takes about 10/15 minutes and free bikes. The beach that was once 100 yards away has now been eroded by the wave and so you do need to go about 2 miles north where there are great beaches - that's where the bikes come in.

Could have been better
Unfortunately the hotel was booked out by an innerpeace/healing group so despite my initial request of staying in a river view room, we were shoved in a top floor shabby room (broken tiles/no hot water at night/thin dirty ripped curtains) and were unable to swap rooms for first 2 nights but were finally rewarded with a much nicer room for the rest of our stay. Breakfast was overcrowded, staff were non existent at pool bar etc as continually too busy preparing table settings for b'fast/lunch/dinner for other 200 guests. Would have preferred to stay elsewhere

A beach hotel without a beach.
The room smelt moldy and the wi-fi hardly worked. The free breakfast was plentiful and very tasty, and the staff spoke English and were very helpful. A free shuttle bus was provided to take you into the Old Quarter throughout the day and was a great service.

Discontented about the room condition
The 2 rooms we stayed in smelt terribly of mould and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We could see the mould on the bathroom roof and the aircon was dusty. The beach was washed away in a storm about a year ago, therefore there is no actual beach to walk on, only the foreshore alongside the road. Rooms overlooking the river do have a nice view and the breakfast is good. I was very happy to leave the mouldy room.

Good value hotel, a little bit rundown but with very helpful staff. We had a nice room with great view of the river from our own balcony. It included a separate sleeping area for the kids. Bathroom sorely in need of a make over. The pool was just right for our kids. Breakfast was also just what we required. Lunch was not particularly attractive compared to what was available in Hoi an itself.

Great location and staff.We had a riverview room (recommended) and were mostly pleased with our stay. We stayed for 8 days and rate the stay 3/5. We would rate the hotel 5/5 for quality and value but for the fact that for 3 nights we endured awful music and speeches via tannoy in the evening around the pool and lawn areas to accommodate an Amway Vietnam Convention and 2 private parties, all of which deprived other hotel guests (holiday makers and tourists)of amenities they have paid for. The hotel is not large enough to accommodate both!

Good value hotel for HoiAn
We loved our stay at this hotel. Kids loved the view and pool. Organised free taxis into HoiAn when bus wasn't running which was so good. Hotel was clean, staff were excellent, bathrooms need updating as bath/showers are a bit difficult. Rooms are rustic but nice. We would stay here again. Food was very good.

The hotel service was excellent. Our checked out time was 5AM in order the make it to the airport. I was supprised to see that the staff prepared for us some packages to go breakfast. I thuoght it was a nice gesture since I have not seen any hotel had done this (and I had stayed at hundred hotels before). Great service.

Big spacious room although in need of refurbishment. The room looked out onto the river which was nice and peaceful. Hotel within easy walking distance to the local beach but unfortunately a lot of this beach had been washed away with recent storms. Swimming pool small and not very inviting as it looked green most of the time.

The hotel was filled with noisey kids so early in the morning. They were slamming doors and always making noise in the pool. Also the beds were very sandy too. The bathroom is also outdated. But the free shuttle to Hoi An ancient town was useful and they offered few bicycle rentals. They also had a discounted shuttle to the airport which was good.

Hotel was a nice staff, free bicycles were great and the breakfast was nice. The rooms were big, but the furniture was a bit tired. Hotel was not as nice as other places we have stayed in Vietnam for the same money, but it was nice and a good location near the beach and nice views on the river.
