"CODE was a great deal in the center of Edinburgh. The sightseeing was within walking distance. I had my doubts about sharing the room with ten other people, but it went well. My room had both men and women, but it worked out. The bed allowed some privacy, and one could charge the cell phone from the personal USB outlet. The bathrooms were shared and clean (men and women had separate bathrooms). The hostel has a nice lobby where you can get breakfast, drinks, and various good whiskies. The staff was friendly. Since I was there just to sleep, it was a fantastic deal. I stayed for five nights for the price of one night in an area hotel. "

Excellent Stay

"Stayed here while attending the Taylor Swift concert. Hotel was full to capacity but this did not affect the excellent service from all the staff who were very helpful. Good position for attending Murrayfield events. Will definitely use again"

Budget Hotel with Amazing Service

"This was a last minute booking on a very busy Edinburgh week with a conference in town next door and Taylor Swift in town for 3 shows. As you can imagine, the worst time for a medical emergency on holiday that landed your spouse in the hospital. On check-in, the front desk staff, Jamie and Lucia were amazing and even helped me with delivering my luggage to the room. The room I chose was a "no window" room which was the most economical. While it was a small room, I just needed a place to sleep. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom well equipped and the dark and cooled AC room was perfect after a day at the hospital. The location, a short walk to the tram and bus stops was perfect and there are plenty of restaurants in the area as well. Now, being in another country on holiday combined with a medical emergency is stressful, coming back to Point A in the evening being greeted by Jamie and Lucia asking about my husband's health made me feel not so alone. Their compassion was so very appreciated and will stay here again in a heartbeat the next time I visit Edinburgh."

"The staff is amazing! They are very friendly and attentive to the request is the guest. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel is located in the perfect spot, everything we wanted to do was a 15 mins walk or a short bus ride. I can not wait to go back. The room made us feel like we were at home away from home. "
