"Well appointed room, comfortable bed, quality fittings. The staff we helpful and efficient. The hotel is a bit of a warren but has all the things you would want to find. It is convenient for the touristic parts of Stratford-upon-Avon and the walk to the RSC is a comfortable 15 minute stroll."

"Really enjoyed our little overnighter here. Absolutely stunning building. Nice size room with high ceiling in gorgeous Tudor style. Bed comfy nice bedding. Read some bad reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Yes the carpet is a little old and the chair by the window but it’s all part of the charm. Large modern bathroom. Only negative was a little dust on the windowsills nothing to ruin a lovely comfy night sleep and lovely staff at check in too"

"We were really disappointed on arrival as the hotel was covered in scaffolding and the entrance looked much more like a 1970s multi-storey carpark than a 4* hotel. The stairs (the lift was out of order), reception area and room were very dated. The soundproofing in the bathroom was non-existent (my wife could hear everything next door). Having said that the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok."
