“I am looking forward to the next time”
This is best hotel I have stayed in. The service was excellent. I loved everything from the beds to the slippers and bathrobes that are provided. The bathroom has a separate shower and a huge bathtub. The location is great, walking distance to the Ginza district (i.e. Sony Building) and is even closer to the subway. I highly recommend this place if you are going to Tokyo.
“Great place to stay”
The hotel staff was very friendly and professional. The room was very clean and we had a good view of the city and Tokyo Tower. The subway was less than a five minute walk. The plus for us was the complimentary internet access. Will book with Dai Ichi if we go back to visit.
“Dai-ichi is ichiban!”
We booked this hotel due to the special offer - would normally go for something more contemporary in design (the bathroom was a little dated) - but other than that we could not fault the comfort of our room, which was very spacious by Japanese standards. (We were also upgraded from a queen to king size room at check-in without asking). It was immaculately clean and the hotel generally had a very luxurious feel. Service was excellent. There was no breakfast included in the offer which was a shame but otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the hotel. In addition it is very near Shimbashi station (even is connected by its own walkway during daytime) and within easy reach to Ginza district. Lots of Yakitori places nearby.
“Great location”
Going to Tokyo for both business and pleasure I was happy the hotel gave free internet access. My wife and I wanted to enjoy a sumo match and the hotel went out of it's way to get our tickets for us. I'd be very happy to stay at the Dai-Ichi again.
“The best service i've ever had.”
I adore this hotel. I stayed for five days while visiting Tokyo and I was treated so well by every single member of the staff. the room was immaculately clean and the concierge was extremely resourceful and helpful. I would definately stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo. Plus...its only a block away from the Shimbashi subway and JR Line train stations which make getting everywhere else in Tokyo really easy.
“One of the Best Hotels!”
This is hotel is old-fashioned, in a good way! The price is "cheap" considering its location and it is in Tokyo afterall! The room quality and service quality are superb. Very clean and very comfortable. Bathroom is very nice. We've stayed in many hotels in Japan and North America and Dai-ichi ranks in the top level.
“Tokyo's Best Hotel”
Very nice Hotel...
“Ideal location”
Wonderful hotel, ideally situated for Ginza district. Direct access from Tokyo station via subway ( although initially it was not that easy to locate exit.) Rooms good size and very comfortable. Extremely attentive staff. Good choice of restaurants although a little pricey. Airport limousine service directly to and from Narita airport. Would definitely stay again.
“luxury in tokyo”
a luxury hotel at good price. very nice furniture and interior design.
“Good value in Tokyo”
This is a very nice hotel located on the edge of Ginza with easy access to a number of areas by train or by foot. Typical Japanese luxury hotel - very clean, outstanding service. As with all lobby smells of cigarette smoke. Breakfast on concierge level is minimal.

Area:
Ginza, Tokyo, Japan: High on opulence and popularity, Ginza was one of the city's first districts to implement Western-style brick buildings and gas lamps. Set in the heart of the city, it is the place for those who don't mind crowds, and serious spenders. But it takes very little to see Asia's largest fish market, a traditional kabuki play, or the latest gadgets at the Sony building.
