“best pick”
The hotel is so close to 2 different subway station and easy to reach all locations in Tokyo. Ginza area is one most popular shopping, and dining area. The hotel is the best pick in the selection in terms of price, quality and location. I suggest everybody.
“Excellent Value Hotel”
I booked this hotel on a whim because it was close to the Tokyo Train station and I was getting into town pretty late. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's accommodations and services, especially in relation to its value. The hotel is located in the heart of Ginza, about a 10 minute walk from the train station and very close to the designer stores. It's off the main street, so it can be a little tough to find (especially given how tough Tokyo streets can be to navigate) - but it is mere steps away from the Ginza subway stop. I had a single room, which was definitely on the small side, but the room was immaculate, bed was comfortable, the linens were comfortable and very clean, and the bathroom was first rate. All of the front desk employees spoke english well and were very helpful in giving directions and accommodating my requests. In addition, they have CNN in English (SCORE)! I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for comfortable & convenient hotel at a good value - but without all the bells & whistles of a 5 star hotel.
“Will definitely stay there again”
Very satisfied
“Delightful Little Place”
Was welcomed pleasantly. In room hot water kettle was always refilled at cleaning time--a pleasant touch to go with the basic tea/mug set. Excellent spot near subway and by fantastic shopping, eating, and well...everything. Immediate dining options in the hotel were delicious but limited. Fresh pajamas and slippers awaited at the end of each day. Beware. Rooms are tiny.
“nice hotel, friendly staff”
nice hotel, friendly, central location
“Great hotel”
This hotel is on the small side, but the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and quiet. The hotel's location is the best part, being less than a minute walk from the nearest subway station, and only a couple minutes walk to the Ginza subway station. There are two convenience stores right across the street, and great restaurants all within walking distance. Would definately recommend for a good hotel in the Ginza area.
“very good deal in the heart of tokyo”

“Hotel Monterey Ginza was great”
The best thing about the hotel was its location--short walk to the Ginza district, the subway stations, and Tokyo train station. Restaraunts nearby were affordable and had great food.
“Excellent small hotel in a choice location”
A great find for a reasonably priced stay in the upscale Ginza neighbourhood. Couldn't have better connections for getting around Tokyo. Steps to the subway, short walk or taxi ride to Tokyo Station. Rooms are not luxurious, but are attractive, very clean and well maintained with comfortable beds, nice linens, fresh cotton pyjamas daily, and very nice bathrooms (including deep soaker tubs). We have stayed 3 times and would definitely go back. On one stay we got a double bed room that was really small for two people and the staff were happy to switch us to a much larger room which had a very small upcharge. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful and most speak English.
“Excellent value for money”
Excellent location, very clean, staff very friendly, and very quiet. Excellent value for money.

Area:
Ginza, Tokyo, Japan: High on opulence and popularity, Ginza was one of the city's first districts to implement Western-style brick buildings and gas lamps. Set in the heart of the city, it is the place for those who don't mind crowds, and serious spenders. But it takes very little to see Asia's largest fish market, a traditional kabuki play, or the latest gadgets at the Sony building.
