“Good location, nice and clean hotel”
The hotel is very clean and modern. We stayed at various hotels in Tokyo; this is the best one by far. The room was not big, but the bed was comfortable and shower was very good with high quality fixtures and fittings plus the toiletries (Shiseido). The hotels close proximity to Ikebukuro train station allows you to explore Tokyo easily, only a 5 minute walk. We felt very safe walking around late at night. We used our pre-paid JR passes to go places, i.e. Harajuku, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ginza, etc. You’ll find good restaurants located near the hotel such as noodle bars and Japanese Grills which open until very late. Also a 1 min walk to the 24hr Family Mart to buy water and snacks.
“Beautiful and convenient place to stay!”
I highly recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, its great location and its friendly staff. This was my first time in Tokyo and I was traveling alone and I found this hotel to be a great introduction to the city. You have to leave the idea behind you that your going to have a roomy hotel room. You're not going to get that in Tokyo unless you shovel out a ton of money. The room was completely adequate for what I needed with a roomy, modern bathroom. It was in a great location, only a 5 minute walk from the train. I would definitely stay here again.
“Great Hotel”
If you are looking for a nice Hotel in Tokyo for less than an equally nice price The b Ikebukuro is your place. The location was awesome, you were close to everything, most importantly Ikebukuro Station. Within walking distance is everything you could want to eat, play, see or buy. The front desk staff was friendly and speaks good enough english to take care of you. However when my friends Mom phoned from home she claimed they spoke no english, but she has a heavy accent and little patience. Any dealings I had with them were problem free. The room size was average for Japan. I felt it was more than enough space. Some though may find it on the small side but expecting a large suite in a Tokyo hotel is wishful thinking at best. The room was also well maintained and clean. Response to problems was also quick and hassle free. I would highly recommend this hotel. To be honest I will be trying to find an Expedia package with The b Ikebukuro in it again next time I travel to Tokyo.
“A nice hotel in Ikebukuro”
My wife and I were at this inexpensive hotel for 11 nights and found the stay comfortable and pleasant. The room is a bit cozy (we chose a room but we did not find it cramped. The hotel staff was pleasant to deal with and spoke good English. The hotel location is ideal. It is 3 minutes walk from the train/subway station so access to the rest of Tokyo was easy. There are a wide range of eating establishments within short walking distance with selection of ramen, sushi, itakaya, italian, mcdonalds, crepes, etc (you name it, there probably is a restaurant nearby that serves it). Shopping is also within 5 minutes walk with 2 large department stores and 2 large electronic stores nearby as well as countless other smaller shops. We would definitely stay at this hotel again the next time we go to Tokyo. We enjoyed it that much. The only thing that we worry about is that people will start realizing what a steal (in terms of price and location) that this hotel is and it gets booked up or the price of staying there increases dramatically.
“Excellent selection in the heart of Tokyo”
Good location, very clean room at a good price
“Would definitely go back. Clean, convenient, and gets the job done.”
As above. Great experience.
“Nice hotel”
Ikebukuro turned out to be a bit far from what I was interested in seeing, but the hotel is a short walk from the metro so not a problem. My room was small but very clean everything was brand new and done with taste all in all a nice experience, only drawback was there's no closet, it wasn't a big deal since I only stayed 2 nights, but might be if you plan a longer stay
“Cute, friendly hotel, close to attractions”
This hotel is just a couple blocks up the street from the Ikebukuro station. If you're not sure, just look up. The hotel name is posted on the top of a skyscraper you can see from the station exit. The station is connected to 3 major department stores, which contain great, affordable places to eat on their restaurant or deli food levels. Check that out! The hotel itself is small but very clean, with an attractive, modern design. It looks very new. I would say that they had the most cheerful staff we've had out of the 4 Tokyo hotels we've stayed at. The others were fine, but these guys put us in a good mood with their friendliness. All of the popular neighbourhoods are only a few minutes away by train. I would definitely stay here again.
“Nice, immaculate hotel; chaotic location/neighborhood”
I was amazed at the condition of the hotel, given the price. It was the nicest place I have stayed (internationally) at this price point. The location is quite busy, but not far from the metro station. I would stay here again.
“good location”
every thing was satisfactory. Coffee was provided in the lobby but could have done with tea as well. Will stay again if in tokyo
