Lovely quiet canal side hotelPosted Nov 9, 2013
Pros: Lovely crisp bed linen, attentive service at the bar and in the hotel restaurant. English spoken by the staff.
Location: Venice is on your doorstep.
Handily positioned for exploring the city on foot or by boat. Lovely crisp bed linen, attentive service at the bar and in the hotel restaurant. Next to the gardens and with a couple of good restaurants within easy reach. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Position was perfect near water bus stop but quietPosted Nov 7, 2013
Cons: A spa, While lifts worked well they could be a little larger.
Location: Easy access to bus station and railway station if you need then and water bus. Taxi drop off 2 minutes walk to hotel, good local restaurants near by
Welcoming staff excellent service couldn't do enough, our 40th wedding anniversary strawberries and bottle of sparkly delivered to room on arrival. They arranged restaurants, boat trips, water taxis nothing was to much trouble. Buffet breakfast was superb going again.

Beautiful hotel. Close to the car park and train.Posted Oct 31, 2013
The hotel has beautiful Venetian furnishings ...rooms are very comfortable. the hotel is in a very lovely area close to the major vaporretto stops, car park and train station. We leisurely walked to St. Mark's Square, stopping at shops etc. and took about 30 - 40 minutes to get to St. Mark's.

Nice Hotel with a very good breakfast buffet.Posted Oct 27, 2013
Pros: Breakfast buffet, staff willing to help.
Cons: Beds mattress need to be replaced, bathroom shower had mold in some places.house keeping hall ways, doors and elevators needs some inprovement.
Location: Location was good near bus ,train station and large groceries store.a lot of places to eat and shop.
Hotel location is easy to get by water, but very difficult when you come on the train, having to carry your luggage over 2 or 3 bridgeds or pay to a porter for their services . This not *5 Star Hotel any longer ,staff was nice and helpful.

Perfectly placed for access via Vaporetta or road.Posted Oct 9, 2013
Pros: Everything. Location, staff, food, service, room cleanliness.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind. But could probably do with freshening up in the next year or so.
Location: A distance from the Rialto bridge and St Marks Square which was perfect for us as it gave us a lot to take in on the walk down.
Had a wonderful time even with the weather which was not as good as hoped for but it did not detract from the wonderful sights that Venice has to offer. Will definitely return and will definitely stay at the Papadopoli again.

GREAT HOTEL, I HAD NO PROBLEM.Posted Sep 30, 2013
Pros: The personal service. And the bed was the most comfortable I have even seen.
Cons: Everything good.
Location: Good restaurants close by and also close to the Grand Canal and where you can get the boat buses.
For Venice this hotel is perfect. I don’t know how people had difficulty with the desk personnel. We had no problem whatsoever. In fact, prior to arriving I had emailed the hotel and the manager promptly replied advising me on how best to get to the hotel. The even lined up a taxi, the least costly way to get to the hotel and with the best service. The driver was awaiting us right outside of customs, with the customary sign. It was only a nice 15 minute Mercedes limousine ride from the airport to the hotel. The driver then parked the car and helped us with our luggage. Fortunately the hotel is right across the first bridge so it was only about a 5 to 10 minute walk to the hotel. Don’t use a taxi if you’re staying at a hotel across town, for instance, St. Mark’s Square. It is simply too far away from where the taxi would let you off. I paid only $50 for our taxi whereas an associate of mine paid greater than hundred dollars for a water taxi. The bed was one of the best we ever slept in. Breakfast was included in our room rate the food in the service was good. We had a lovely balcony. The have dozens of TV stations from all countries. When we left they lined up the taxi again.

Well placed for travel and exploring VenicePosted Sep 28, 2013
Pros: Position overlooking canal with most transport including vaporetto stop within easy reach. Comfort, quiet and calm inside the hotel. Good service
Cons: We felt it a shame that the restaurant was large, not well placed to attract use by outsiders, and therefore not well used. Maybe normal for Venice?
Location: Lovely walks along the canals, beautiful buildings, piazzas, views. Walking distance to San Marco, Accademia, Peggy Guggenheim, fleamarket, sights.
Hotel is lovely, elegant and slightly faded style. Rooms and facilities excellent, good bathroom, shower, lighting, very clean. Towels and bedding high quality, beds fantastic, very comfortable, changed daily. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful, particularly when dealing with minor problem which arose during our stay. We did not use restaurant as there was an evening buffet rather than an a la carte menu which would have suited us better, though we had planned in any case to try local restaurants. There were many nearby, mainly a good standard of food and reasonable. We are not large breakfast eaters, but the buffet looked wonderful.

Loved our balcony overlooking the canal.Posted Sep 11, 2013
Pros: Location and service was excellent.
Cons: It would be nice to have an earlier check-in time available. After flying 10 hours with an early arrival, check in wasn't until 2 p.m.
Location: Perfect location right on a canal and within 1 block of the Grand Canal. Lots of shops and places to eat.
Our room décor really made us feel that we truly were in Italy. The hotel location was wonderful with it being right on a canal and only 1 block to the Grand Canal. Lots of things to do within walking distance and a nice choice of restaurants and shops. We loved our balcony located right above the canal too. The buffet breakfast had a huge selection of items and something there for everyone. Be sure to take a water taxi while there and better yet you can ride to or from the airport in a water taxi also. We went in one to our cruise ship and it worked out nicely.
