The location is everything because you still get great canal views without the really busy tourist crowds like at Rialto. Pillows and bed were a little stiff but the rooms were super clean and very inviting. The hotel is lovely with all updated needs while still keeping the charm of Venice. Reception is 24 hours! Always someone at the desk. Comes with a great breakfast.

Great stay! Reasonable price for the staying in the island with complementary breakfast. Climbing over the bridge with a big luggage from the train station was challenging, but I was glad it’s only one bridge I needed to cross to get to the hotel.

The Gardena Hotel lived up to its promise of having a great location convenient to the Piazzale Roma, but also to the water taxi to quickly get to other areas of Venice. Great place to stay. Clean and convenient if you come in by train. Very short walk from train allowing you to dump off your stuff and enjoy walking Venice unencumbered. Breakfast had a lot of options but nothing hot. Was a good base to start the day.
