"As nice as the owner and family are, I can't really recommend this place. Location is 2km out of town so you must have a car. Location is very quiet at night but in the hotel room you can hear water running from toilets etc in other rooms and people walking on the floor above. And I had some sort of tapping sound in my room early in the morning on the second night which made it hard to sleep. There is a fridge and hot water urn in the room, but no tea or coffee (lucky I had my own)and only...

(I am an English speaker and had no access to phone) staff spoke English but were not helpful as I had issues checking in. It was late. "Great stay in Lake Toya area! Hide was very kind and met us right at our agreed upon arrival time. The house was clean and well maintained with lots of amenities including AC, laundry, and drying racks. We would definitely stay here again if we ever come back!"
