Hotel location is excellent. Near to old town Basel where there are many restaurants and shopping around. My family enjoyed the stay thoroughly. Also the service staff were very helpful. I forgot my mobile power bank and charger in the room, the hotel staff was very kind to help post the items to my next hotel of stay. Kudos to them!

Clean room, Good location

Hotel location is good, just opposite the train station. Room is very clean and comfortable. Although it’s a single room, it felt spacious.

We were in Basel for a few short days, and we couldn't be happier with the Steinenschanze Stadthotel. From the moment we checked in early to find the rooms both ready, to the daily tea we enjoyed in the garden & all the way til we checked out in the wee hours of the morning. The friendly & very helpful staff were always ready with a smile & recommendations for food or things to see/do. Rooms were a good size, even with the couch folded out to accommodate 3 people.
