The hotel is lovely and wrapped in beautiful surroundings. What can't be said about the staff. All of them were polite, friendly and welcoming. The spa was beautiful. Breakfast was incredible. The rooms are clean. spacious and comfortable. 1 Minor downside The television in the room are quite small. Could be a little bigger.

Room was a good size but a little drab and in need of modernisation. Breakfast was overpriced and my poached egg was more like a hard boiled egg! The quality of ingredients was not worth the £15 we paid.

Beautiful spa facilities, great breakfast and evening meal choices. Decent sized room, my only criticism would be the size of the TV as it’s a fair distance from the bed area to the TV and not everyone wants to sit on a sofa to watch TV at the end of a day of walking etc. Great staff, easy parking and nicely located to reach costal beaches.

Great but let down by breakfast
Everything about this stay was spot on other than Breakfast. The price you pay (£20 the night before) Is very pricey for what you get. The breakfast options are limited and the fact you have to pay extra for a flat white, latte etc is unreasonable when you’re charging £20. You wouldn’t pay extra in a ibis or premier inn for the above coffees. overall the breakfast experience doesn’t match the rest of the hotel experience.

Really good spa at this venue which is included with hotel stay. Food in the restaurant was excellent quality. Bar area modern and comfortable. Staff perfectly pleasant and helpful. Spacious airy accomodation is a real highlight. Rooms a little dated feeling in some areas is our only negative point, more of an expectation of A/C of some sort at the 4* rating mark, thankfully wasn't a hot part of summer during our stay. Standing fan is all that's provided. Possibly something the management should consider for future renovations.

Suberb dog friendly luxury
Amazing. Took our two dogs with us. Very inclusive of them. Gorgeous grounds and countryside walks for the dogs. Would definition recommend and will be going back (without the dogs) to experience the spa and restaurant. Dogs allowed in the bar and Brasserie.

There seems to have been a decline in standards at the Kinmel. We have stayed twice before, once for a function, and had been very happy with the hotel and amenities. Unfortunately our latest experience didn't live up to previous experiences On arrival (3:30pm, 30 mins after earliest check-in) our room hadn't been cleaned. We reported this and went out, returning at 6:30 by which time the room had been cleaned. However, there was a problem with the safe (tried to reset the combination, wouldn't work, eventually the receptionist replaced the battery), and a lamp above the bathroom vanity was not working (we were told that the hotel "didn't have any spare bulbs" ?!?). Although a 'hospitality tray' was provided as part of the 'Luxury' room package, this consisted of four 'instant plastic tea/coffee' cups, UHT milk capsules and ONE pack of biscuits We ate at the hotel restaurant that evening, and the food was underwhelming. The quality of the food was not really up to standard, and the main courses seemed to have been reheated from lunchtime (bullet hard roast potatoes etc). At no time were we asked for feedback (normally we expect to be asked "Was everything OK?" by the restaurant staff, or the receptionist at check-out), and the general feeling was that the staff really didn't care about the guests We appreciate that the hospitality sector has experienced disruption due to the Covid pandemic, but surely this should incentivise staff to make guests feel more welcome.

Poor hotel
The room was very cold , heating not working , I asked to check and they did not fix it, , spa closed at 6 pm instead of 10pm, disappointed a lot , i have checked out my room one day before my check out...we won't go there again even though it was my favourite hotel in the past when i was working in st asaph. My wife and I are very disappointed especialy we have booked this hotel as part of our honeymoon.

We did a UK staycation and have visited quite a lot of 3 to 5 * hotels in the last 5 years. We chose the Kinsale because it also has a spa. We used the free pool and hydrotherapy area twice and these are excellent and cleaned to a good standard. We also had a massage and the staff here were very professional and friendly too. Rooms are fine but more to a 3* level and again were clean and comfortable. We used the restaurant and cocktail bar on first evening. Prices in line with similar establishments and everything is new for August so very fresh. Meal options were good at around 8 mains but portion sizes not so big.. Breakfast was plate service and slightly limited especially with cereals and cold food options for a 4* hotel. Staff were all friendly. Would recommend.

Hotel was clean and in a nice location however we were disappointed with the service on reception and in the restaurant. Also felt like it was very over priced for what it actually was. Spa was lovely and beds comfortable although rooms a little tired.

We will be back!
All the staff at Kinmel and Kinspa were helpful, friendly and polite. The hotel is set away from the main road and has small, pretty gardens. Our rooms were comfortable and clean. We enjoyed use of the pool and spa and had lovely breakfast in the Bistro.

Certainly would return.
What a great little hotel. It isn't large and pretentious like other hotels with spa facilities. The staff were excellent and looked after us well. My wife and I would certainly consider returning if we were visiting North Wales.

JUST LOVELY IN EVERY WAY.
Such a lovely hotel. The staff team professional & friendly. The owner’s kindness and generosity knew no bounds. You must try the ‘Hydrotherapy’ pool. Wonderful ! And we must return when awful Covid-19 virus, which has hit the hospitality sector so cruelly, is, in the mercy of God, behind us. Can’t be too soon for Peter & Meg B.

Breakfast was lovely. Staff are friendly. Spa is open till late for hotel guests. Rooms are nice but they have creaky floorboards which you can hear next door walking around, making it sound that are in the room too. Also the TVs are on the wall so you can hear next doors.

Disappointing.
The hotel was ok, a lot of it was dated. The staff were attentive and nice, but the food was appalling. Both breakfast and dinner was just very plain and not well cooked. You need to have a car to visit the other places in the area or to drive to another restaurant Shocked to see the price of this hotel (over £130pp) , definitely not value for money.

Great facilities
The hotel is set in a beautiful, quiet location, whilst being easily accessible. For some reason Google Maps take you from the back but you can access the hotel just off the A55 first exit on the roundabout. The free access to the pool, spa, sauna and steam-room is a bonus.

We were badly delayed en route to our stay, and ended up arriving in the early hours. Night porter could not have been more helpful, which made checking in easy. Excellent room, very clean and lovely spacious bathroom. We had asked for a travel cot, which was set up for our arrival. No problems fitting in beside the bed. Spa was impressive, nice and quiet on a Saturday morning. Pool quite small, but clean and well maintained. Hotel looks like it has been refurbished fairly recently, and was definitely a place that is family friendly.
