Staff were friendly and very lovely to kids, nice roaring fire, rooms are clean but very small with squeaky bunk beds. No warm room to dry snow clothes, kettle in room but have to use microwave in the common room then have to was up in your own bathroom sink 🙁! If you don’t bring you’re own food, you have to eat at the pub which is very expensive

We had a great stay the room was small but very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again. Great location. The food at the pub was great value.

Bedroom and shower/Toilet are very small and poorly furnished. No fly screens at windows. On arrival the receptionist had to be looked for. Only one's own breakfast, no attendence on departure. Acceptable only, as we were the only guests that night.

Great for a snow trip stay, warm room and a bed.
Nice staff, clean and warm room. Fireplace to keep you warm. Minutes away from a great pub, bakery and club for dinner if you need

Very very small rooms, you can hear the people in the next room and the hall, heater wasn’t on when we arrived. Very basic - although it looks like they’ve recently refurbished. It was good having a tv in the room. Probably wouldn’t stay again as it was hard to get a good nights sleep. No lamps, no electric blankets etc. It felt a bit like a private backpacker room.

Affordable accommodation near the snow.
Lovely hosts. Room was clean and comfortable enough for our family of four. Amenities were basic but adequate and as expected for the very affordable price considering it's the peak snow season. Checking in and out was easy. Will stay there again.

Clean hotel not good for sleeping
Door alarm goes off every few minutes and wakes everyone up...... Fire alarm went off a few times also. Hall light and outside light on most of the night so room is lit up, again not good if can’t sleep with a light on. Small clean room.Friendly staff.

Overnight at snowfields
Disappointing experience. This hotel advertises that it has a licensed restaurant, but when we enquired we were told “not for dinner”. The only local pub was booked out, so dinner was at the local bakery (which was great!). The room was tiny, bathroom was tiny, bed was tiny with cheap pillows that may as well have been non-existent. Walls are paper thin and you can hear every noise from next door. Was only a bed for the night whilst on a quick trip to Selwyn Snowfields, but a completely underwhelming experience. Would not stay again.

Newly renovated close to Selwyn Snow Resort
Compact room and bathroom. Freshly renovated with new appliances like TV and heater. Communal areas has a great feel where people can hang around the fireplace and eat breakfast or dinner. Owners was very accommodating and helpful to request like heating food or drinks. Location was great for the people visiting Selwyn Snow Resort.

Perfect for family's
Comfortable and fresh, Rooms are cosy with their own heating and TV, Tea & coffee. The bathroom was quite small but it's all you needed. Comfortable beds. Restaurant wasn't open yet but the owner said to grab some food at the local takeaway or in town and we could bring it back and have it in the dining room with drinks etc.which was great when you have young children. I loved how everyone came into the dining and living area in front of the fire playing board games all evening. The owner is lovely! The snow is only 35mins or so up the road and it's the most beautiful drive!

The room was comfortable for 1 adult and 2 children, we were warm and cozy and the bedding was very comfortable. The dining/lounge area is warm and inviting, with a fireplace, comfortable couches, board games, and a TV with karaoke option. Will definitely stay again, thank you for having us!

Not a pleasant experience
Woken 3 times on the first night and 4 times on the second night by the smoke alarm. Staff were very average with virtually no customer service skills. On arrival no toilet paper in our room.

Halfway to the snow
Nicely renovated motel halfway to Selwyn. Lots of opportunity for improvement. E.g microwave in communal room would be great as dining options are somewhat limited in a country town, room carpet in desperate need of steam clean - this is a hygiene issue given we have a young baby, electric blanket is a nice to have, heater is not strong enough even for the small size of the room so lucky we brought a small portable heater. Overall good location but need improvement.

We are in the process of changing carpets on all room, with a few rooms left to change, but I can guarantee you that all carpets has been commercially steamed cleaned before the season started. Small room for a good price
Simple hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The room was small, but also quite cheap so we didn't expect more. Our room was clean and just what we needed. The common area by the reception was a plus, with games, tv and the possibility to make your own tea and coffee and several tables where we could spend the evening. The hotel is just a block or two from the small town centre with a pub, some cafes and other amenities.
