They have eliminated the simple breakfast they used to have. This is ok if you know ahead of time as there is not a breakfast restaurant or grocery store super close. A lot of online information still indicates that there is a breakfast. The cleaning fee has to be paid for every day even if you request a cleaning every 3 or 4 days. Room condition is good-comfortable bed with walls, floors, and bathroom tile recently redone. Hot water was available immediately. Towels seemed scarce as they took away the towels in the morning and returned them in the afternoon. The hair dryer had frayed wires and should be taken away. The owner is a helpful, kind, considerate, personable individual. It is his customer service skill that brought us back here. Public transportation down Central Avenue is excellent. Two routes, the ART lines, have stops in the center of the street. Route 66, which stops more frequently, has bus stops along the curb. There are screens in the mid street stops indicating when buses are coming. The area is fine in the daytime, but I wouldn't be comfortable wandering about there at night. We have never had security concerns while staying at the hotel. It's an inexpensive hotel that is a good value for what you pay.

I was very impressed with my stay here. The front desk staff went above and beyond and was so genuinely kind. The room was perfectly clean, the bath water was steaming hot, the ac was ice cold, and the spineless prickly pear cactuses all over the property were gorgeous.

The check in staff was very pleasant. They mentioned that the room was more expensive due to the balloon festival. We had about 1/3 of a roll of toilet paper and ran out very quickly. Our room also had no shampoo or soap in it. If I had paid $80 for the room, I would not complain. But I was charged $200due to the time of year and there’s nothing acceptable about not having basic needs for that price.

Stayed here for 4 day/ 3 nights. Read the reviews and decided to book. There are sirens, hospital is located near by. This really wasn’t an issue for us. Room was clean, bathroom was newly remodeled and beds were very comfortable. We had two full size beds and a king size bed in our room. Room was pretty big. Office staff was very friendly from the time we arrived to the time we checked out. We even got a phone call later on the day we left from them letting us know we left some thing behind. Office staff offered lots of recommendations for places to visit and places to eat. Pool was nice, had some leaves but no biggie (had the pool to ourselves). Went to ask if we could use the pool and they opened it early for us. All we had to do was ask. People walking around, but not many that we saw, which is pretty common for city downtowns, that’s just what we’ve experienced. Well worth for the price we paid. Overall, would definitely book again if we visit Albuquerque/Santa Fe again.

Wouldn’t recommend for traveling families. Sketchy area. Homeless people hanging out in the parking lot. Office staff doesn’t even keep the door unlocked at 7:00 pm. You have to talk though a window. After 2 straight days of 10 hr drives, our kids wanted to swim. The pool is located in the parking lot and closes at 8pm even though it doesn’t get dark until well after. They charge $.25 for a small scoop of ice from the ice dispenser (which is disgusting). They also advertise free breakfast. At 7:30am the office was still locked and nothing was available… not even coffee. We actually had to shove our room key’s through the window which was held closed with a rock. On the bright side, the room was clean other than the stains on the bedding. Wouldn’t stay here again. Looks to be a nice hotel across the street for a little more $, but I’m sure we’ll with it. At least you can go on the rooftop and relax without feeling in danger.

This property is clean inside and out. The staff are very kind. The hotel itself is an older however, I can see some modifications had been completed to semi upgrade it. So it has features of older hotel. Bed was comfortable, basic necessities were provided daily. It is next to several hospitals literally, so you will hear ambulances always passing by. I really wanted to use the pool, however it was dirty, as in a normal dusty dirty nothing horrible. So if you are looking for a hotel just to rest, get some decent sleep and an awesome price, this is it. If you don't mind the ambulances. I was here for work so I was not much at the hotel. No issues in the evening time either. I went outside and enjoyed the weather from the second floor. :) I would definitely stay again for a quick trip.

The area had some sketchy looking people walking around. Swear we saw a drug deal go down as we pulled in the parking lot. Staff was friendly. When we went to check in the office person unlocked the door and then locked it behind us. Family room is upstairs. They don't have an elevator. Would not reccomend.

Spend your $$ at a place that's glad to have you.
Never again, that's what I say. The only saving grace was the room was actually pretty clean and it was close where the show I was seeing was but that's it. What was on the site was all a lie, they made the end of a long drive miserable and I wouldn't recommend them period.

You book a rodeway and you know what you're getting. It was $75 so I'm not complaining ... Except that my non-smoking room was clearly smoked in. Kinda gross.

I’m always ok with a deposit, but when you have to get CASH after they charged me for the room already is ridiculous. $100 deposit was on the listing but you can hold it on my card and making me go get cash is crazy. I left and stayed else wear.

Overall, the room was somewhat dated but comfortable and clean. I did notice on my second day however, there was a quarter size hole in the bed sheets caused by a cigarette burn. I did not bother to report this to management.

They had a surprise "cleaning fee" upon arrival in addition to my prepaid Hotel.com. In my 3 nites there they did not clean. The parking lot was swarming with homeless at all hours. A lady pan-handler stationed herself at the Soda machine. No coffee in room. Disappointing stay. I was not expecting the Ritz just very disappointed over all. I wanted to go to another place but had prepaid. Lesson learned!

The owners were great. They spent time explaining dining options, places to visit, and they showed be the 'back way' to the balloon festival which saved significant time in getting to the event.
