"We rented a poolside view apartment for 5 nights, as did two other groups we were traveling with.
Pros:
pool areas are good, excellent for toddlers,
large resort, covering large area, lots of free parking,
access to cliffside trails was nice w/ good views,
staff all friendly and competent,
resort restaurants served tasty food.
Cons:
there appeared to be very little investment into the maintenance of the facilities. I mean everything...exteriors and interiors. For example, in our room the cold water valve under the sink was turned off because the faucet leaked badly when it was turned on. The refrigerator and freezer doors didn't shut and seal regularly because the cabinets and cabinet doors were all askew. All the wicker patio furniture was frayed and in rough shape. The one couch in the living room was missing all the backrest cushions. The latch/lock for the property gate to the trails was broken off, looked like it had been that way for a long time. The spa area was underwhelming.
I definitely wouldn't call it a luxury resort and wouldn't feel it was worth the money if I'd paid more than a couple hundred dollars a night.
