Pleasantly surprised and good value for the money. Be aware it is at a top of a hill if you are walking from Luz but great views.

The room was spacious and clean with a nice view of the pool. The breakfast was great - variety to choose from. My only recommendation is to put a large sign in front of the property, because it was hard to find. Overall we had an excellent experience.

All balconies face into a central area with pools, ocean view & gated access to parking. Additional breakfast with outside seating (lovely in the morning sun) was delicious! No complaints at all.

Walking in i was a bit un sure then we got in our room and we were so happy ! Beautiful view ! Large room and then we went to the funny little bar and met Nuno the amazing bartender! So nice so helpful ! Can’t wait to come back

The best place to stay in Luz
Absolutely amazing from start to finish. All of the staff are incredibly welcoming and go above and beyond to ensure your stay is the best it can be. Would definitely recommend to anyone and would definitely return!

Can’t Say Enough
I wish we had planned for more than one night. The setting was lovely, looking over to the ocean from the trees and flowering bushes and pool from a private, large patio. The room was huge, and quiet, very comfortable. The manager at the desk was so helpful. I would stay here again and again.

2020 summer hols.
A very tiday and confortable 3 * hoyel. Excellent service and great pool. Due to the restrictions it was quite which we enjoyed, about half full. It was very windy which is typical for this region. Worth a visit.

Great staff & location
Been to the area a number of times. Had family and friends staying in another hotel this time. Vilamar is ideally situated a 10 minute walk from Praia da Luz. The staff were really helpful and friendly. For the cost of the room the hotel was great value

Beautiful View, Terrific Service, and a Real Value
Excellent property with terrific service and exceptional management. I was pleasantly surprised because of the value. The restaurant at the property has delicious food also at a great price. Breakfast was delicious on the deck outside by the pool. I travel quite a bit and I'm happy to say I fell in love with Luz and I'll return soon and stay at Vilamar.

A great start to the holiday!
Great location, comfortable large rooms with poolside and sea views. Staff were very friendly and chatty which added to the relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh and overall a great start to the holiday.

Cheap hotel, short walk into Luz
Staff were very friendly and helpful! Good location. Room was pretty basic and actually felt cold and damp. Hot water took ages to get through in the shower and when it did it wasn’t particularly hot - this would probably be fine when the weather is hot. You get what you pay for! Fine if on a budget and you don’t want any bells and whistles!

Very relaxing holiday
I've stayed there 10 days. A great place to relax and chill. Facilities are basic but you are well looked after. Staff are very nice and friendly specially Jo who runs the whole place. He goes an extra mile to make sure you are happy. Over all I really enjoyed my visit. Will go back there again and strongly recommend.

I would stay here again!
We just stayed overnight before checking into a condo for two weeks in Luz. This is a great place to stay. It has a nice pool and surrounding area. Our room had a firm bed and was very large with a sofa, refrigerator and a patio. Beyond the patio was a grassy lawn. The place is a small resort. The staff is super friendly. We had to store luggage and wait the next day until we could check into our place and they were accommodating. We hung out in the bar area using internet and watching TV. I would definetely stay here again. Also it is a short walk into Luz with restaurants and the beach.

Very quiet family destination
Very quiet and relaxing setting great for young families as it's a no stress, chilled place to stay. Away from the tourist traps in Lagos but loads to do but you do need a car. Would stay again for a destressing holiday destination

Overall great stay. Very big rooms and clean. We were only there for 1 night so we didn't make use of the pool. Shower took a while to warm up. Wifi didn't work in our room.

staff were lovely and friendly. the hotel is basic but clean. the rooms are quite large for the price and the rear garden is nice with two lovely pools and good views. Parking is brilliant! all round a good place to stay.

Pool is on the cold side but lovely after a day by the beach Luz beach is 20 minutes walk away down hill . Walk back a bit longer but not too bad Dolphin restaurant is fabulous for steak meals 10/10 Chinese was AWFUL

Ok for the inexpensive price
We stayed here for two nights. Hotel was good for the price. Location is not too far by car to the city center. Very simple breakfast. Hot water wasn't working in the morning and at night. So only time to shower was afternoon or early evening. Parking was free. Not many amenities but a good one lace to sleep for a low price.

Nice friendly hotel
A nice clean friendly hotel, pool was clean and plenty of sunbeds etc food was pretty ordinary, the bar wasn't always staffed but someone arrived fairly quickly. The hotel is situated some 20 minutes walk downhill, depending on where in town you wanted to go, the beach was more like 30 minutes away. the walk back uphill we didn't try but taxis weren't easy to come by and buses were infrequent. Overall the experience was good.

We loved out stay at Vilamar, the staff was great. The resceptionist helped us with our excusions and suggested some other activities to do. Rooms are very big like a studio without thr kitchen. Close to the beach no issue with the 10 mins walk abd great area! Would come again
