Hotel Zen Airport with Free shuttle
6/10 Okay
"The woman who checked us in was unpleasant, rude, and unhelpful, but the rest of the staff was truly outstanding. We encountered a problem with the remote not connecting to the air conditioner, which took three or four attempts to resolve, but they were patient and persistent in fixing it."
"This is a good well located hotel. Parking can be really tight but at least it’s available. Cost about €20 per night.
Breakfast is good with lots of seating.
Bathroom feels a bit outdated, but still nice and functional.
The room is nice and big."
"The room was tidy, with decent furniture and a balcony.
The staff were always helpful and efficient at their jobs.
The best part was the breakfast brunch, which ran from 7 am to 1:30 pm, offering a choice of breakfast and lunch, or you could pop in when you felt peckish.
We definitely recommend this hotel, considering the above, and it was relatively easy to travel to via the train from the airport. Traveling around town was convenient as the hotel is located near the central square, and bus and train services are vast."
"My second time at this hotel and it has been renovated beautifully.
Had and issue with our room at check in. Single beds after multiple pre requests for a king bed and crumbs on the floor. Took a exceptionally long time and a manger request to get this resolved, but we got there.
All round a fantastic hotel with friendly staff and a lovely setting but a few niggles I would highlight other than our check in issue.
By 9am all pool beds are gone, but no one actually on them. People throw a hat or book on them and head off to breakfast. I counted two people at the pool at 8.50am but not a single free bed. Pool staff on site do not police this whatsoever and allow it every day. Very frustrating in a hotel of this calibur.
Breakfast staff don't come near you to offer tea coffe etc. You have to wave them down or catch one who is frantically running past you. It's also extremely busy after 9.30am and the egg/omelette que is off putting. Maybe they should make people book breakfast slots to minimise this stampeed.
Hotel beach club never has any space for hotel guests as they allow so many outside bookings.
On the plus side the breakfast selection is great. Hotel check in staff etc were very friendly. Room service and turn down service was fantastic. Lovely decor and good music at weekends
I will certainly return as we have a great stay overall."
"We did a two weeks vacation in Spain, and by far this is the most expensive hotel in the trip I had booked. The pool area and the hotel lobby is really nice and very well maintained. However, the staff are not helpful, at times not nice to converse with. Also VIP access is nothing on this hotel, they do not offer anything special for you. Also no amenities in the room. No shower caps, no boxed tissue, no slippers, no iron. Nothing at all. The facility seems like a time share hotel."
"Oh boy, where do I start?
1. Check in was a fiasco. We specified non-handicap room when we booked. The first room that Fernando, the staff who checked us in, gave us, was of course, handicap. When we complained, he gave us another room, which is again, handicap. We complained again and he offered us a non-handicap room but it would be bigger, according to him so there will be an upgrade charge of 15 euros per night. We said yes but the room was next to a door being constructed and dust was all over, from the door handle to the floors. Worse, the room was not made. We have photos to prove. Rosa of housekeeping told us another room, same size that we booked, is available. We finally got the room that we paid for. Since the suggested upgrade did not happen, I specifically told Fernando that we should not incur added charge and he said he will make sure. When we checked out, guess what, the hotel was charging us for the upgrade. What??? When we told them what happened, they relented.
2. Staff was incompetent, specifically Fernando. Because of the check-in fiasco, he promised to send us a bottle of wine. We stayed 3 nights, but did we get the wine? NO!
3. Property was not clean. On day 2, ants started coming out of our sink. We have photos to prove.
4. Amenities were useless. Everything--- pool, sauna, spa, closes at 6 PM. There's a tub but no stopper so it's useless. Don't get fooled by this hotel's glitzy photos and ads. This hotel overpromises but severely underdelivers."
"We got the remodeled unit and it was a nice unit. The only issue we had was the morning visitors, cockroaches. Each morning there are one or two.
- We arrived after midnight. Front desk was excellent
- Buy grocery as food is pricey inside the resort.
- Court rental can get expensive.
We weren't exactly there.for vacation. It was relaxing while we were there."
