"First of all, we had a hard time finding the address as it was not the exact location as shown in the website. We did not want to touch anything! Not conducive for elderly or disabled individuals. We booked this because of the proximity to the port. DO NOT BOOK this property. We left and booked another place. They make there refund policy restrictive because they know people will leave once they see the rooms. In this way they try to keep your money without rendering service. They would not even take Expedia’s calls! "
"Although we did not get to see any whale sharks due to environmental factors beyond the resorts control. We were met by the staff with smiles and checked into our room immediately. once we settled in our room we went to sit and enjoy the ocean side and were met by Ralf the owner. he along with all the staff were very welcoming and informative as to the diving activities and gave us a personal tour of the resort, I noticed he does this for all guests. the food was excellent and we enjoyed the group meals together. It was a nice way to meet the other guests. the dive guides were excellent and dive boats were a nice change from the usual Philippine dive boats. The kitchen staff were all so friendly and helpful, and caring. When we left they all came out to say bye.
Pintuyan Dive resort is a very personal experience. We didn't feel like we were just a customer, more like a house guest with friends.

"Our stay in Surigao was absolute bliss!! Although this place is old and has been badly affected by typhoon Odette a couple of years ago and is still undergoing renovations. The location was gold! The staff was extremely helpful and attentive. Its location is in their famous Mabua Pebble Beach, Surigao City, and on the foot of a mountain and with some 300 steps you get the most amazing view.
It is also a fishing village and I've spent every night just watching the fishermen on their boats catching squid. They come back around 11pm and go back out again to catch fish and come back early morning. I have never seen a full functioning fishing village.
I am in awe at the simplicity of the life here.
And the sunset...well...it was exceptional 👌
