Too small a room for four people. Checked out minutes after 11:00am and was told to be charged TWD 200 for lateness by 30 minutes.

Good convenient location, very close to Alishan scenic train station to catch the sunrise train. Very close to local shops and restos. Decent breakfast (coupon for local resto). Cons: old, bathroom rusty ceiling, poor noise isolation (can hear noisy guests, however hotel staff firm enough to discipline disruptive behavior). Inadequate room heating in winter. No bar soap. Overall, adequate for one night stay to get you ready to catch sunrise train.

Good basic place to stay
Like others have said, it is quite basic, but after reading the reviews here I was prepared for much worse. It really wasn't bad at all! The bed was comfy, the room was small but who cares? You're in Alishan to be outside! Sound did travel a lot in the hotel so its easy to hear others...but it wasn't too bad and most people go to bed early anyways...

Other than the location, there is nothing great about this place. The wifi is bad. There was problem confirming the room reservation. The walls are thin and the ground floor is very noisy because of the activities at the reception and the lobby. The staff are not overly friendly though slightly helpful enough.

It is very cosy, room has no Air Condition but Air Warmer instead because the temperature is cool up in the mountains, if you ever need to cool your room just open the windows, they have mosquito nets by the window so do not worry about insects flying in(tbh there is almost no insects in the cold weather up there)

We don't mind so much about the condition of the room or hotel. People don't stay in the room in Alishan anyway. However there are 2 things I found it disturbing. 1. Our room is on the first floor which is very noisy because all the people passing by are talking when you are sleeping 2. The check in is very slow. We waited 30mins for the room. We were told that the room is not ready but the fact is there is no one working on the room anyway(because we just stand outside the room). When the time is 13:30 all of sudden our room is ready.

The space in general was alright, but during my first nighr stay, had some problem with the fire alarm on the first floor that it rang 3 times on the night itself which is causing a lot of trouble to the guest, but it has fixed on the 2nd day.

Not exactly new but clean and comfortable, with nice, well maintained surroundings. Very helpful, smiling staff. Decent breakfast. The best point is that it's within the national park and therefore near the train or shuttle bus departure to do the walks. There is also an arrival and departure pick up.

Good location. Helpful staff. Good for short stay.
The check-in process was smooth. The staff was very helpful: she basically gave us a good explanation of how we could maximize our time while visiting the area, including when to get the train tickets for viewing the sunrise, when to wake up and get ready in the morning, and when to leave for the train station. We were initially given a room on the first floor. When we requested for an alternative, the staff gave us another room on the third floor. While we had to climb up the stairs (the hotel has no elevator), we were glad to get away from the noise at the first floor. The room was clean, well lighted. The bed was comfortable. The view from our room was great, looking out towards the valley and the mountains. The bathroom had a bathtub, which was a surprise. The towels were not absorbent; I felt like I was not entirely dry after a shower, even though I've wiped myself thoroughly with the towel. The hotel provides central heating for the rooms, but the heating only turns on at 8 pm. So the room felt really cold until then. Even with the heating on, the room was still quite cold; the heating was basically inadequate. The one-inch gap under the room door probably didn't help too! Breakfast was subcontracted out to a restaurant near the visitor centre. They provide basically Chinese food: porridge, noodles, vegetables, coffee, tea, soy milk, toast. Only chopsticks and spoons are provided, no fork.

Stay somewhere else if you can.
Poor service, very dated room with uncomfortable bed, no heating and not so clean. Breakfast is at some restaurant 5/10 minutes walk from the hotel. Unfortunately, there aren’t many hotels available in the area so you may not have much choice but to stay there. That’s probably why they don’t bother maintaining or improving their hotel.

Female check-in staff had bad attitude. Room was unexpectedly small for 4 pax. Looks like they just put in anpther double bed and called it quadruple room. With luggage on the floor, there was hardly any space to move around. Had to walk some distances for free breakfast. Beddings did not look very clean.

The room is old especially the bath room with small tub built using brick and tiles. You have to go out to another restaurant to eat breakfast that is included in the room rate.

這次住宿的房間我個人覺得蠻棒的 房間雖小 可是該有的都有。 可是蓮蓬頭不能拿下來，一拿下來就沒熱水、水力不夠等等，所以只能一直掛在墻上，我是覺得這還好。 暖氣的部分太慢暖了，洗完澡之後暖氣都還沒暖，對於我這個怕冷的人開始真的不行。 但綜合來說，無論是住宿地點或是住宿氛圍以及房間，我都蠻喜歡的~

可以更好
房間跟浴室算乾淨，但是設備真的有點舊，蓮蓬頭的線已經出現裂痕，洗澡的時候還要避免水亂噴，另外浴室牆壁裂痕嚴重，看了有點怵目驚心，隔音也不太好。雖然是老房子，建議還是進行整體基本整修，這樣長遠的投資才能吸引客戶願意不斷選擇入住，阿里山是國際景點，增強飯店設施也利於吸引國際遊客不斷來訪。
