"Great location close to convention center, walking distance to an outlet mall. Clean and quiet. Only thing is - don't get fooled by the map on Expedia, it is NOT close the the railway station, we learned it the hard way, but we still liked the stay."

"Our first impression of the Le Meridien Chanba Hotel in Xi'an was awe-inspiring due to its location, majesty, lights and modern look. However upon check-in, we had an issue as to whether or not the room was previously paid (it was previously booked and pre-paid) and if the room itself was ready - this took over 30 minutes to discuss and resolve. "Our stay at the Shangri-la was exceptional. The facilities were first rate and the services from the staff even better. Even before our arrival at the hotel, the concierge at the hotel, Oscar, was in touch with us to offer his services regarding transportation, site seeing and other details regarding our visit to Xian. He responded quickly to our email queries and gave detailed advice regarding how to make the best use of our short time in Xian. We were able to very efficiently navigate the city and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Xian because of Oscar's willingness to go over and beyond his job to make us feel at home in a new city."
