"great hotel"

"t was a great stay over the New Year holiday. I needed to spend a few days in Hamburg and chose this hotel because of reviews. I am happy that I did. The check in was very swift; I received an email few days prior to my trip, asking to check in online and provide my documents. I complied and got a confirmation. When I have arrived to the hotel, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, they were able to check me in before the usual time and I di not have to wait. My room was really good, nice view from the window, everything was working a very comfortable bed, a well equipped bathroom, 2 free bottles of water. The breakfast was a great choice of cold and hot food, everything was fresh. It is buffet style, so you won't be hungry. The maid service was great, my room was cleaned properly, towels changed and even got more water bottles. The hotel has a sauna and a small gym. The location of the hotel is very convenient, it is very close to the metro station ( U1 line) and a local bus station. There are a few supermarkets, including cafes and restaurants. Also the hotel is right in the park, so no noise from the traffic. I really enjoyed my stay."

"Great hotel. Close to shopping which is great. There is a refrigerator, stovetop, microwave and kettle. Far enough from the busy streets of Hamburg but closed enough to get to easily.. great amenities. Would stay at again if in the area."

"This was an interesting new type of hotel stay for us. My mother grew up in Altona in the 50s after the war. I hadn’t been to Hamburg in about 20 years so we decided to visit pre-Christmas for the markets (way too crowded and difficult public transportation during it). The room was well equipped with a refrigerator, induction cooktop, convection oven, deep well sink as well as cookware and utensils. It was relatively quiet and situated. Typical German hard mattress and too many smokers outside every door. I couldn’t live in a city like this, but an occasional visit should only take a few days off my life. "

"Had to check in a few hours early.. reception staff was very friendly and helpful. helped make several prints from their printer. Rooms however, where clean and comfortable but somewhat small, austere and lacked some practical/functional features like towel bars and hooks in the bathroom."
