"I booked this as a backup for the festival opening week and ended up being very pleasantly surprised. Sweet and warm welcome, extremely helpful staff. Nice atmosphere amongst travellers as well. I guess the bad reviews are either from an earlier period or people don't understand it's a hostel. I was very glad to see a fan spinning in the room at night as it was very hot. Basic but generous breakfast for free. Showers are old but what can you say at this price - unbeatable regarding the prices at...
"The property is spacious and beautiful. Guests can wander around and relax in many of the spaces. There are beautiful horses, alpacas and dogs, all of whom are loved and well cared for.
The rooms are clean and welcoming. Guests can use the refrigerator, kitchen utensils, and coffee and tea makers in the large dining area. The host, Pascal, is lovely and provides a warm welcome, and is nearly always available to converse, advise and suggest. We would happily return to La Petit Fourchon!"
"This was a great place to stay for a night as we travelled. It was very close to the motorway but not noisy. The room was clean. The breakfast was very good and the price very reasonable."

"Reduced room size but that is the way rooms in the old city are here and all Europe.
We enjoyed our stay, hotel has a superb location with great staff "
"I stayed here for 2 nights in June. The room was stiflingly hot when I arrived, and although there was an air conditioning unit in the room, it was completely useless even when the thermostat was set to the lowest temperature and the fan set at the highest speed. The settings had been removed from the air conditioning unit itself, presumably to save on energy bills from people wanting a comfortable temperature in the room on summer nights. So I ended up having to open the window all the way and prop the door open for hours just to allow some cooler evening air in, to give me a chance of getting to sleep. In addition to the air conditioning not working, the vending machine also was out of order. In order to access the WiFi, I had to go to reception to have the receptionist validate my credentials on my phone. This is my first time ever having to do this at a hotel. Positives are that it is low cost and has flexible cancellation. Just as well, as I was booked in to stay at another Première Classe on my next stop, which I decided to cancel. "
