"My best friend and I stayed here for 6 days, and didn’t want to leave. It’s up above the Mediterranean with a beautiful view! The bus comes by about every 30 minutes and can take you into the main part of town within 10 minutes, or to other places along the Amalfi coast for a very small price. Breakfast is free with a variety of choices. Nightly dining is available on the rooftop terrace and the food is excellent. Private balconies, breathtaking views, and one can stroll through the lemon groves on the property. Excellent service, professional and friendly staff, very nice rooms with refrigerators and air conditioning. The beds are comfortable and the hotel is quiet, Just a beautifully maintained historical property. I give it 5 stars. We’ll be back."

"We arrived with suitcases on the ferry. This was a short distance (up stairs of course). The dining room with free breakfast was on the top floor. Our room was lovely, breakfast was great. "

"A absolute MUST stay in Amalfi. I’ve been once before and found this hotel last minute and it exceeded ALL expectations! Location: I was hesitant at first as being in the hills can be challenging to get around however, the shuttle service they offered was really easy and 10 mins to the Amalfi town centre. Also, the view from every part of the grounds and our room was absolutely breathtaking all hours of the day. Room: Updated and brand new inside the rooms. The rooms come with a tablet that allows you to book the shuttle, order room service, etc. Amenities: The daily breakfast offered a wide range of delicious food. Had dinner once (on our last night) and it was quick and was very good. The private beach club was very convenient and the shuttle takes you directly there. The cost of food/drinks was very reasonable for being such an isolated gorgeous location. Staff: beyond professional and VERY attentive. They remembered our names and made the entire experience very memorable. Overall, we will be coming back to this hotel hands down. "

"My husband and I stayed at many different hotels during our honeymoon and this was by far our favorite. The rooms are beautiful/spacious, the bed and pillows are comfy. Breakfast is included on the rooftop with a nice view, they have a little bit of everything. The staff at the front counter are very friendly. It is in the perfect location. Just a couple minute walk to the ferry/bus stop. There are lots of cafes, restaurants, and shops nearby. I highly recommend booking here."

"Hotel Aurora was a highlight of our Amalfi stay! It’s tucked just far enough from the town center to be peaceful, yet only a short and beautiful walk from the heart of Amalfi. The views from our room were stunning — waking up to the sea and the sound of waves was unforgettable. The staff was kind and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The hotel itself has a classic charm — clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a lovely terrace and private beach area that felt like a hidden gem. If you’re looking for a place that balances relaxation and convenience, with true Amalfi character, Hotel Aurora is it. We’d absolutely stay again."

"The host was very hospitable, responsive, and let us check-in early and enjoy the gorgeous private beach! The views were impeccable and the room was spacious and clean as advertised. I would come here again! "

"This property is staffed by some amazing people - including Ilenia, Maria and Angelo. The hotel itself features clean and recently renovated rooms. Our room (on the top floor) featured a hot tub and loungers on a balcony as well another balcony overlooking the sea. Views from the room included the marina and the town of Amalfi. The hotel is close (under 2 minute walk) to the marina for those arriving by ferry (or bus). It is also under 2 minutes walk to the town of Amalfi. Of particular note should be that this hotel has no elevators/lifts and guests may need to climb 2-4 flights of stairs. The good news is that Angelo is available to act as a porter and was able to carry suitcases to the top. A nice touch is breakfast which is only available “in room” (based on leaving an order in your door the night before). The front desk (Maria) was able to assist with your reservations and local advice. "
