"This apartment is well situated. Location was perfect for us because everything you need like the ferry station, bus station is close by to visit the neighboring towns. This location is at the center of the town in Amalfi. Restaurants, and yet very quiet. This apartment is completely equipped with kitchen amenities, especially fridge,microwave. Very clean in everyway . I would extremely recommend this apt. Whenever you go to Amalfi."

"Die Villa Zagara ist im Verhältnis zu den Abbildungen eher schlicht. Das Frühstück war nicht sehr reichhaltig. Es gab im wesentlichen Obst und süßes Gebäck. Der Nachteil an der Lage ist, dass man zu Fuß vom Zentrum von Amalfi einen größeren Anstieg mit etwa 200 Stufen zurücklegen muss. Das war uns nicht klar. Das Gepäck wurde uns freundlicherweise abgenommen und mit einem Lift hochgebracht. Die Umgebung der Villa ist schön, es gibt Zitronenplantagen und den direkten Zugang zum Valle Delle...

"The hotel is well situated on the outside of Amalfi town with good views and in a convenient location. We drove from another part of Italy and the drive was fun, although GPS isn't the best sometimes and its easy to make a wrong turn, so be prepared. The hotel is not for everyone, i would not recommend it to anyone on a budget. However, if money is not an issue for you, this is one of the better hotels. We stayed in the Villa area which is a short golf cart ride away from the hotel itself. Here you have your own private pool area. Our hot tub was not working which wasn't great, but the room was nice. Room was well stocked with welcome gifts and food/drinks and mini bar was good too. Hotel is very romantic, the restaurant is great for dinner, and the lounge before dinner and after is a great place for a drink. We would stay here again if we come to Amalfi."

"Beautiful stay right next door to the cathedral. Lots of steps at the entry but the staff was wonderfully helpful. The whole hotel was sparkling clean. Room was adequate (on the smaller side as most European hotels). Breakfast was really really good with lots of variety. Would definitely recommend!!"

"It was a smaller scale, cozy hotel outside of Amalfi. More on the vintage side. The included breakfast was amazing! Great selection, fresh and friendly staff! The view was amazing as well. The lemoncello at dinner was excellent, but the dinner itself was very disappointing. We had four meals and they were all simply bad! Did not return for more dinners. The bus stop is right at the door of the hotel, which is nice. If the bus comes and stops. Very unpunctual! There is small but nicely secluded beach within 10-15 min walk. Be ready to shed some money there. It’s very expensive! 100€ for a family of 4 for lounge chairs alone! Overall great experience and beautiful memories made!"

Grand Hotel Excelsior Amalfi

"My husband and I stayed four nights here in a standard room. Some of the pros were the view, free breakfast, and the pool. However, the bed was very uncomfortable which made it very hard to sleep, the walls in the hotel room are so thin you can hear every conversation your neighbors are having, we heard someone phone alarm go off every day at 7am, the free shuttle was nice if you booked early otherwise the time slots fill up fast and the time slots are very limited, one time slot we pre booked for when we went outside to get on the shuttle they allowed guests who didn’t have a reservation on, leaving my husband and I to squeeze into one seat which felt very unsafe especially how dangerous the roads are and when we asked the staff about it there got annoyed and said you are just going to have to squeeze in this time. The restaurant and food at the hotel was very expensive, 14 euro for a canned beer from the fridge inside the hotel room and if you order room service they charge you 20 euro fee. If I went back to Amalfi I would stay some place else, this wasn’t worth the money."

"Our stay here was wonderful! Right in the middle of town, high above the hustle and bustle of the busy streets of Amalfi. Just steps from your door are gorgeous views and tons of food options. When we arrived, the staff welcomed us like family and was super helpful the whole time. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. They went above and beyond and were so wonderful. The bed was comfortable, and the room was super clean. The mini fridge was well stocked with any drinks we could need and everything was decorated. Very lovely."
