Hotels near American Folk Art Museum

"The hotel was very nice and we really enjoyed our stay here. Reception staff were very friendly and we got a room upgrade which was a nice surprise. The elevator is small so expect to have to wait 2-3 trips to squeeze in. I rated low for cleanliness because our room had a dirty baseball hat and a wrapper on the floor next to the tv when we checked in. There was also a dirty shirt behind the bench that my daughter found which made us question the cleanliness of the rest of the room. Beds were comfy and the sheets seemed clean though! Cafe downstairs was very good as well! "

"The room was EXTREMELY small and definitely could not fit 4 adults like advertised. No closet for clothing, no luggage racks We lived out of our suitcases and had to stack them on the only seat other than the beds. No room to walk past each other without squeezing through. No in room coffee maker, ice bucket etc. "

"My room was on the first floor. Directly outside my window, looking out onto a small airshaft, was a collection of HVAC turbines constantly roaring. Like, mere feet away. I instantly asked to be moved, but the hotel was full. Was up til 4am the first night, got earplugs for the second night. Seriously, this should not be a hotel room at all, let alone in a supposed four star hotel. It should be an office or storage. And the staff were stone faced. Yes the hotel was full but there are still things you can do--a comped cocktail or discount in the restaurant, a reduced fee, anything to acknowledge that this was a ludicrous room to be paying 800 dollars for two nights in. The room itself was bare and bleak--and of course there was no sunlight at all, just that airshaft and the roar of the turbines. Left feeling totally snookered."

"Held over $1,100 in four random charges despite having a prepaid reservation. No staff could explain why their “new system” would do this. Charged $69 for an early check in (fine) but the room was a SIGNIFICANT downgrade from what I had reserved. There was barely any room to walk in the room, no dresser/drawers, a desk so small I had to put the coffee machine on the floor to use my laptop. Ideal location but would absolutely never stay again."

"Took an hour to check in - I was the third person in line and it took an hour. They had two people working the counter and never brought in more people to help. I felt worse for the long line that developed behind me. "

"I only stayed here because I had no other choice. This was TINY! Unless you need the cheapest place in Manhattan that has a bathroom, id go for something nicer. Staff was nice. Breakfast was ok, coffee was terrible! Ac was set to 60 in the other room and it was good. But super tiny! Like barely any room to walk around. Shower and toilet were in what felt like a closet!"
