Hotel was in a great area, staff was very friendly and accommodating but this is more of an Air b&b type room. Better for people traveling who don’t plan on being in their room much.

The location was excellent, close to the main train station. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was tiny, but for the price and location it was good value for a solo traveler on a budget.

Canal view, more like dungeon view. I was unlucky to have a room facing a wall with a bathroom that smelled so bad of sewerage I heaved every time I went in it. This is a hostel at hotel prices. All you get is a basic dated room. Avoid!

The staff were helpful and accommodating when my flight was delayed and I arrived late. Someone met me upon arrival and also helped me get connected to the internet. My room was small and basic, there were plenty of stairs but the location close to the Central Station and reasonable price made this a good choice. I will be back.

Small apartment. Street noise on Saturday night. Otherwise it is quiet. Close to Amsterdam Centraal which makes for an easy connection to Schiphol airport.

Good price, good location

Room was very spacious and with lots of natural lighting. Bathroom had a bit of a bad smell (normal in old sewer systems). Location was great, 3 blocks from train station and 1 block from shopping area. Only drawback are the stairs they are very narrow and steep - very hard to maneuver your luggage

You have found the ideal place to stay if you are looking for a small hotel that is within ten minutes' walking distance of the central station and has a plethora of small shops and restaurants all around it. This place is just as good as the next budget hotel, and it's right on the canal. If you've been to Amsterdam before, you'll notice that this place is just as good as any other. If you want to complain and cry about everything, you probably shouldn't go to Amsterdam in the first place. The staff here is extremely helpful and eager to assist you as long as you are friendly and never lie about anything and obey the rules in the hotel and in the city.

Very rude service very steep and narrow and winding stairs to climb to the worst room I’ve spent a night in. The man said he wasn’t happy I woke him at 9 30 am to check out and ask help to bring my small suitcase down the scary stairs

Well, this hotel is more a hostal, is very small, don't have a reception, just a key to open the door of the hotel and a key to open the room. Very important to know, if you have problems whit small places this is not for you, if you have problems with stairs this is not for you, the stairs are very small and very difficult to climb. Is in a very nice place and centric location.

For one night is ok

The only one good thing to mention is only the location. The receptionist was not easy to find him. The room was dirty(bedsheet was broken and a bit wet, there are some food package still under the bed) the bathroom door was not able to close, the stairs was not easy to climb. If you have big luggage or travel with old people, not recommend this place to stay.

Not great, the tiniest of tiny sinks (only good water), a mirror only for giants, old towels crumples up amd left behind curtains, and an awful smell. The sheets & bedding seemed clean, but a few spiders and other tiny friends were relocated to outside. The view from my window was of metal grating about 1 meter from the window.

Ok for one night

They allowed early check in which was great and the man that let us in was very friendly. However, it was really cold, the heating was not on and there was no way to turn it on. Also, the hotel was not manned overnight so when some people came back at 5:30am and were really loud and loud outsider the door at some points which was a bit unsettling as single female travellers.
