"The building is beautiful and remodeled with lots of interesting touches. However, this hotel is by no means family friendly. I was traveling with my 12 year old son. The lobby isn’t really a lobby but a neighboring restaurant that may or may not be open at advertised times. The pool is part of a rooftop bar that ‘allows’ hotel guests under 21 only from noon to 7. And it’s packed with non-guests there to party. If you’re looking for a no frills spot in a central (if noisy) part of downtown, this might be a good fit. If I had understood their business plan better, I would not have stayed here for a family trip."

"The place was nice. However the parking sucks. Had to walk two blocks and pay $35 a day. There is a Cannabis shop below and the smell is bothersome. We had children with h us not to mention and we smelled like that because the smell was in our clothes. This was not mentioned during booking. Reached out to them and no resolution given. The manager wasn’t willing to compensate in no type way after we spent a lot to stay there. I will be reaching out to corporate about the matter."

"From the website images, we thought it was too small for us. However, we managed and felt it was a great experience. Everything in the room is well designed and enjoyed the cleanness, technology comfort and convenience. The ground floor amenities are so good for everyone especially drinks. I have asked multiple times of getting hot water and every time I felt welcome by the staff. Citizens M is a very well managed hotel that makes the guests comfortable. Will stay here again if we visit L A later."
