"The staff were great, and the location was gorgeous. The dinner and lunch options were delicious. Breakfast was incredibly disappointing. It was incredibly western, and consisted of only fruits and breads. If you wanted meat, it would be made in the western way. It is also incredibly remote. This in itself is not a bad thing. However, the power grid is a major problem. The local grid can't sustain the resort, so the power drops to almost out every minute or so. The air conditioner therefore can only run for a few seconds. It was UNGODLY hot with nowhere to retreat from the heat. Even the ocean was bathtub hot. The place would be so nice if the room wasn't too hot to sleep in. We ended up leaving after the first night for Krabi proper, as we needed cooler temperatures. There is also a large concentration of mosques in the area, which isn't our type of people. Overall, if you're a hippie who doesn't care about food options or stuff to do being 45 minutes away, you would probably enjoy it. But it wasn't for us."

"Banyan Tree was amazing. We had a Two Room Ocean Pool Suite. It was spacious, had a beautiful view, and was kept immaculate with twice daily cleaning. The service at BT was fantastic. Everyone stopped what they were doing at all times to greet us. They all had a great attitude and seemed eager to please. The food at the restaurants and bar was also wonderful. We had a bbq served in a room one night. The staff set up a bbq grill, prep tables and a dining table on our deck complete with table cloth and flowers. We had many served courses with delicious food all cooked to our preferences. Anything we wanted - food, drinks, ice, rides, reservations could be communicated through What’s App with immediate results. We also had wonderful spa treatments. When we left the property for excursions booked outside of the hotel, the workers at the front sent us off with towels and water and greeted us when we returned with a ride to our suite. I cannot stress enough the amazing proactive service we received, with little unexpected touches like nightly gifts. The pool and beach and staff there were also great. And from every location in the resort we could not get over the view. Finally we loved that the resort was quiet and private. I highly recommend Banyan Tree Krabi."

"Anawa Krabi is every bit as tranquil as expected. We have been in Krabi several times, during our stay with Anawa we were just looking forward to some down time and quiet luxury, and the resort didn't disappoint. The reception communal area is striking with the water feature, our villa with individual pool is thoughtful constructed and tastefully decorated. The staff are helpful and pull out all stops to accommodate our needs. We stayed in the resort during the new year festive period, and had the joy of spending NYE in an intimate and well organised celebrative evening. While we didn't venture out of the resort often, it does offer excursions bookings for those who want to experience more of Krabi. For the occasions we headed out, the resort helped us book the local taxi, so commute is relatively straight forward in our experience. We look forward to our next stay with Anawa in the future, when we are in the area again. "
