"Couldn’t have been happier with our choice here. About a 20min taxi to the “tourist” areas but the local restaurant near the villa are arguably better than the ones on the north end of the island. Beaches near us were relatively empty in comparison to the north end of the island. Only suggestion I have to future visitors is to keep the bathroom door shut when running the AC. The room gets very cold once you do this. Otherwise, it can get a little toasty. 5 stars all around. If we come back to Aruba we will be staying here again."

The host was very friendly/polite and informative concerning where to go and eat, the accommodation was clean and utilities were functional, the property and neighborhood were safe. "The checkin process was difficult. In the checkin instructions on hotels.com which I didn't read state that you need to message them 24 hours in advance to get your check in instructions. Of course we didn't so we show up and it's not like a normal hotel with a reception desk so we didn't know what to do. I called the phone number on the contact page and of course it didn't work. It had a link to message them so I did and I got no immediate response. We decided to go to dinner while we waited and about 45 minutes later we got a response that the manager would meet us there in 30 min and she did and we got into our room. That was a little unnerving but when we got into the room it was full of mosquitos. Luckily the manager was still there so they moved us to another room which was fine, no mosquitos. The bad part is the new room was booked for the next day so we had to move to another room which wasted our vacation time but it was also good and mosquito free. So the place isn't perfect but they try to take care of you. The price was pretty good but you have to know it comes with less services. Would I recommend the place? Maybe, it depends on your budget and risk tolerance. The location is awesome. The Mangel Halto beach is amazing and you are steps from it."
