The pub itself was lovely, and in a really beautiful area with gorgeous views from our bedroom window. The decor in the room we stayed in was amazing - very unusual and quirky with some really nice features, especially the copper bath! The food we ordered at dinner time was delicious too. The reason I’ve only rated a 3 is because unfortunately the bed was extremely uncomfortable and only a double size. We realised as we were going to bed that the toilet had something wrong with the flush, so it sounded like it was continuously flushing throughout the nigh. This meant that neither my husband or myself slept very well at all. I did mention it to a member of staff as I thought it was important that they were made aware of the flush so that they could rectify it before someone else stayed there, but the lady I spoke to just said that they already knew about it! (I have also seen since that somebody else has left a similar review so it surprises me that both these issues haven’t been addressed.)
There was some complimentary port and vodka and tomato juice which was a nice touch. (Although no milk in the room which was a shame as there was plenty of tea and coffee as well as a coffee maker.)
One last thing to mention, there is a small door that can be used to go outside onto the balcony without having to go through the pub to go outside, but the door frame is extremely low so as I walked through it I whacked my head, just to be aware that you need to bend down!
