Amazing hotel with superb, friendly staff, great location in the Plaka historical district - minutes away from the Acropolis, Agora, shopping, dining and pretty much anything else you might want to do in Athens. Breakfast on the beautiful rooftop deserves a special mention - amazing cornucopia of delicious Greek breads, cheeses, olives, honey on a comb, served with your choice of freshly brewed coffee and/or juice. A terrific feast for the senses! The indoor pool and sauna also deserve a special mention - super relaxing, easy to reserve. The pool is often empty, so you can enjoy it with some privacy. Spacious comfortable rooms with beautiful views (especially if you have a balcony) of the Parthenon. Just a great place to stay!

The staff were exceptional. The rooftop restaurant is incredible with a clear view of the Acropolis and the meals fantastic. I also had a chance to go to the spa and it was one of the best experiences I ever had. I highly recommend it.

Great comfortable clean hotel with attentive staff in a convenient location a short walk to most of the historical sites, great restaurants and most areas you’d want to go to in Athens. The breakfast buffet is fantastic with views of the Acropolis and Athens. I’ve stayed here several times now and it gets better every time.

Lovely hotel. Great location- - near Acropolis and many restaurants with outside dining. Rooftop restaurant has a beautiful view of the Acropolis. Breakfast was ample and included.

Fourth time we have stayed here, and this visit was good but not great. Very loud pounding on exterior wall by our room 8-9AM, outdoor floodlights on mini-veranda that resulted in very bright light into the room all night long and could not be shut off nor covered with curtains. This hotel will not supply small typical washcloths of any kind, and the “shower in tub” will put water all over the bathroom unless you are very careful.

Staff was great. We checked in a bit early with no problems and even received a free room upgrade. They helped us arrange a cab to the airport and gave great tourist info. Their rooftop restaurant has amazing views of the acropolis and their breakfast there rivals the view.

The view from the upstairs restaurant of the Greek Parthenon was amazing. However so was the breakfast with all the great choices of pastries fruit eggs and meat. The service was also first class.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast each morning was a great start to the day. Our room had an amazing view from the patio!! We loved to have a few drinks, watch the sun set and take in the view of the Acropolis! Definitely recommend this hotel of yours in town to see the historic sites.

Electra is my preferred hotel in Greece
Have stayed at the palace and the metropolis in Athens and the palace in Thessaloniki. The palace Athens is slightly more dated but the high quality service is consistent in all properties!

The staff went out of the way to accommodate our child as it was not mentioned on the original reservation. The facility is in excellent location, well maintained and has beautiful view to the acropolis including a dining restaurant at the very top. Rooms can be little bit bigger.

Very helpful staff for first time New Yorker tourist to Athens helped me book taxis to take me for my various tours that had meeting places across the city. Recommended "the best" Souvlaki and Gyros for me though IMHO New York City's are tastier.

Reviewing my experience dealing with the hotel - not my stay. I booked on 14th Dec to stay from the 18th to 23rd. On 15th Dec I received an infectious disease protocol message from the NHS. I was potentially carrying tuberculosis, and could no longer travel out of the UK. I had to report for testing procedures on 18th December. Despite Expedia explaining this to the hotel barely 24hrs after booking, they refused to refund my booking. £500 gone, just like that. That was my experience with them.

Excellent hotel; the staff were fantastic and we really liked the roof terrace for breakfast with the acropolis view. My only dislike was the mattress being too squashy = back pain but that’s a matter of preference. The area was good too, lots of nice little cafes and shops nearby.

A perfect hotel in Athens
Wonderful location - close to Acropolis, agora, plaka. Very helpful staff. The public rooms vast and rooftop restaurant beautiful with a great view of the Acropolis. Rooms quite spacious. We had a great time and would definitely book again.

Again, booking something at the last minute required only convenience so the @electrapalaceathens met all the requirements. What I didn't realize is the rooftop view was more incredible than the pictures I saw online (pics never do anvthing justice). Yes, I was obsessed with the view!!! But the service, the attention, the absolute professional and friendly atmosphere of the entire staff was something I have only experienced in a 5-star hotel in NYC. Big kudos to Nikko, our server…his detail to attention was spot on. We never had to ask for anything, he was spot on with the water, the bread, the timing for the dessert, everything. This hotel has nothing to envy from any hotel in the world when it comes to service. The food was superb, top chef quality. The drinks were amongst the best I have had in Europe. The room was spacious with an additional sitting area I regret not upgrading to a suite with the Acropolis view, but then again we were only here for a short time). Definitely, if I ever have an opportunity to visit Athens again, this will likely be the only place I would consider for 1,000 reasons and more. PS. Now that Greece is off season, the rate was extremely reasonable, but not sure what it would be during peak season. Either way, totally worth every penny.
