Wonderful historic hotel filled with atmosphere and great details, such as the elevator and spiral staircase. Unbeatable views from the roof of the Acropolis! Friendly staff, and perfect location in the center of town. Highly recommend!

We stayed in Cecil Hotel for two nights and it was a pleasant stay. Its a vintage hotel that offers a true Greece vibe! Small marbled frontage you will miss if you walk too fast, and marbled floor that's correct for the period. The antique elevator is fascinating, it still worked flawlessly! Clean room and definitely no bugs! Free internet and free continental breakfast on the first floor. Thumbs up!

I stayed in a rooftop room, but the Wi-Fi didn't work at all. The room wasn't particularly clean and obviously old and worn. The continental breakfast was basic, but filling enough. The location was good, so it was easy to get around for sightseeing.

No frills accommodation but clean and central to all the sites. I loved the charm of the building and the central lift. View from the roof area is wonderful. As a single traveller the room suited, small shower results in water going over the floor but honestly who cares about that. Would definitely stay again

I liked the place and the area. Right in the heart of an old neighborhood and 10-15 minutes from a lot of sites to see. Pretty cool, old style hotel. Lots of local places to eat and shop and generally a great vibe in that part of Athens. Also, really easy to get to from the Metro, maybe 5 minutes walk.

Hotel is basic. Breakfast just bread, sliced ham, sliced cheese, boiled eggs, cereal. No toaster. Rooms basic, tiny shower, noisy at night due to people shouting all night and traffic noise. Surrounds not nice after dark. Roof terrace with acropolis view very nice, go up and see at night. Staff friendly and helpful.
