"Firstly arrived and there is rubbish all over the outside. Checked in to have to pay a 150 pound deposit which we didn’t know about. Then went to the room the door handle was broke and door didn’t shut unless key was in back and locked. The toilet was not very stable the room smelt damp my parents room the light switch was hanging off open wires showing. "Cute modern lobby incorporating work space for locals or tourists. Front desk staffed 24 hrs. Free breakfast but no coffee available after 10. Be aware of method to exit your room involves holding key card against a reader next to door while opening the door. Not a familiar system to some foreign travelers. My room phone didn’t work and I have data only, so until Google gave me suggestions for opening the door, I was literally trapped in my room. One more comfort issue- despite allowing setting temp below 23C, the A/C nearly instantly resets to 23. Can’t open window or A/C turns off. Too warm at night given option on bed is duvet or nothing. Convenient location on street with lots of shops and restaurants but no excessive noise. Decent value. Pet friendly. Would stay here again."

"Had a lovely stay with my partner and nearly one year old baby. Prior to arrival we had paid for parking and the "Baby kit". There was delayed communication about where to park, but it was resolved just in time before we reached Evancy. When we checked-in we immediately saw the "Baby kit" wasn't in the room so we had to go down to tell reception - luckily staff was on hand to sort it out quickly. Once we settled in, the stay was great! A note though, the Expedia listing for this property specifically mentions the absence of a lift - which is not true! There are two lifts serving the floors, including the floor for the car park."
