"We arrived very soon after the published check-in time but the 1st floor room we were due to use wasn't yet ready, however we were offered an equivalent top (3rd) floor alternative. Both the room and the bathroom were clean and comfortable. The weather during our stay was very warm (c32-34C) and there's no a/c and no fan so the room did become quite uncomfortable to sleep in. Location-wise, the hotel is in on the quiet main street in town with lots of shops, bars and restaurants nearby."
"Not a great start when the key which was apparently left in the locker for us wasn't there. All the paperwork was, but no key. Same for another guest who fortunately had better french skills to sort this out by phone with the caretaker.
Rooms are old and tired. Definitely have seen nicer places around this area for a very similar price. Whole hotel has a smell of tobacco and old musty furnishings."
"Checking in was difficult, English was not spoken at all. There was a wedding party at the property so the parking lot was full. Be prepared to carry your bags up several flights of stairs. The noise from the wedding was still going on at 2 am. The breakfast was very nice. "
"This hotel was pure luxury! Situated off the main road in a converted chateau, everything is beautifully tailored to ensure that you have a fantastic stay.
Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were beautifully appointed and spacious and the restaurant meal was exquisite"
